I like them both, but Cait a bit more.
Cait - Safe in fights, good damage, easy farm, good harass, a little bit of utility to the team with her traps.
Vayne - Unsafe in fights, EXTREMELY good damage late, easy farm, good harass, stealth flash escape.
This is based on my 5v5 solo queue btw.
In premade Vayne is better since team can protect her.
I like the mobility of cait
I just love mobility on any champ really
Cait is much easier than Vayne. Vayne has to stay a bit out of teamfights more than Cait does, I guess. Can't say much though, I only played Caitlyn.
Vayne has to be a lot more mindful of her position. Her range is shorter, she has a wall slam, and her tumble isn't a "get out of jail for free" card.
cait's dash is such a good escape mechanism.
