I only have 9 flat ap reds and 1 ap quint that came with my retail copy I bought today ( and yes it's tier 3)

Agree i did the calcs.
Best would honestly be:
Red - Flat AD
Yellows - Mana Regen
Blue - Flat AD
Quint - Flat AD / Arm Pen.
Doran's Blade stacking or Start with a Longsword + 1 blue pot -> Brutalizer if you didnt take Arm pen Quints.

blues should be mr/lvl imo.

also, two doran's will be pretty decent for sustain, since you crit when you last hit, effectively giving you 12% lifesteal on normal attacks (shouldn't be autoattacking anyways)

Actually, I go the 15/0/15 since I don't really need the crit damage, nor do I really need the CDR and summoner spell cds as much as mages need it.
But 15 in offense tree gets you 6 more armor pen (thats a lot) as well as 3 AD, which adds 15 damage to your combo (pretty decent).
My build is always:
2x dorans
brut
phage
atma's
mercs
The MR/level and mercs should take care of midgame MR decently, and atma's gives very good armor.

If I recall, Ashzu said it's pointless and you'd be better off without (might be good for beginners). You should take more care with your mana instead of spamming them out. That way you'll finish your damaging items faster.

I regret buying a full crit dmg rune book that I can't use on anybody.
Full crit dmg is only good on trynd and gp.
