Altough I enjoy playing him myself, I don't recommend getting him if you're under 500 games played. Laning nocturne means soloing top, which means that you're going to go against stronger bruiser champions with infinitely better sustain and harass, and you'll get raped in lane... Not to mention that you won't be able to utilize his ultimate fully, which is one of the strongest ganking abilities in the game. If you want a solo top laner, get Renekton, who can sustain more than Nocturne, harass better than nocturne, and deal much more damage early-midgame.

It would enhance his overall dps a good amount, but not too much imo.
