A good initiation can change a 4v5 into a 4v4 or 4v3 fight easily.

Rammus taunt. Skarner's does damage, but with Rammus's taunt you can "drag" someone twice the distance that Skarner's ulti can. Even with merc treads, it's still a longer duration.

imo, the best CC in the game is Malphite's ult and Alistar's pulverize.
Both have a 1 second suppress(knockup) and a 0.5 second stun, which means getting merc treads will only reduce the duration down to roughly 1.35 seconds total.
They're both aoe as well.

Good amount of damage early game with only Sheen.
Hard to escape her.
