There are bestial sorts of power sets, like scrapper (Claws) but I believe movement style was a new feature in Champions' character creator, like asymmetrical costume details.
How lame, seems you can't have a flying hero or anything cool.

Thanks for the info, guess I'll make a Symbiote like character then or some generic robot

You can get a travel power at level 4.
I spent ages deciding on a costume and power set, ended up going villain. Reached the island place and immediately remembered my horrible experiences with snake people in the sewers and quit.
I think I'll stick to Champions. Free/ex-subscribing players aren't completely fucked over in that and I just... prefer how it plays I suppose.
Free players are fucked over in Champions, though. They don't have access to any healing skills on most archetypes, while ex-subscribers can make their own custom classes (and add healing), I believe.
This game seem to be improved a bit, and i am playing it still, I am on the justice server, AliceXII is the name of my character.
Holy shit YES, my old account will finally revive :D
Downloading the game right now. The absence of zone talking for premium users is a pain but it won't be impossible to play without it. I just hope the dozen of characters I have in my list will still be here and that I'll be able to actually use them/delete some to create new ones.
I'm on the Virtue Server if anyone would like to play with me, my global is @Lightning Brenden.
I play on Freedom. I resubscribed and it is totally worth it.
I'm premium thanks to my two years of subscription. I don't think I will go VIP because I'm not gonna play the game enough to make the 13€/month worth the run, but I think I'll probably just buy Going Rogue, at least for all the excellent pieces of equipment it gives.
Man, why make capes level 26? A cape is like number 3 on the generic superhero checklist
1. Superpowers
2. Tights
3. Cape

Probably to reduce load on the servers with the physics.

Hahahahahahahaha. No.
When they released it, capes were considered a privilege for known heroes. If everyone had a cape it made them less special so they wanted you to work for it.

Hahahahahahahahaha. No.
When the game was released there actually weren't any capes in-game, the in-universe explanation being nobody wearing capes out of respect for Hero 1.

nah, ex-subscribers get just as little as free players.

"Released it" meaning released capes. Reading comprehension.

Vagueness =/= Bad reading.
I came into freedom skeptical. I used to be an on-and-off subscriber. Every time i subscribed i would cancel in the first month but after playing freedom since it was released, and seeing the life it injected into the game, I just subscribed and am getting back into it. Hopefully it doesn't loose me again.
Freedom is released!
I'd like to dabble in a super hero MMO a bit soon, and I don't really want to have to install and play multiple. Without paying a cent, should I play CO, CoH, or wait for DC?
I'm aware that people have differing opinions on which is the better game, but some games get completely raped by F2P, while others are definitely worth playing. This is mostly about how good the game is while being completely F2P.

When I played CoH I really enjoyed it, but it got old after about 2-3 years which is still a hell of a long time to be entertained by a game. Champions Online was incredibly boring in my opinion and DC Universe Online has no content to do once you reach max level. If you are choosing between the 3, choose this.
reinstalled this to see what F2P is like
shame Mastermind is $15 or I'd probably start playing again, and I hate the revamped tutorial/starting missions
Alright, here we go. Downloading this, and once I check out how it's doing these days I'll finally be able to settle on a superhero MMO; so far I'm liking DC Universe more than Champions, but I'm not really sure yet.
