You know that battleship design that won the contest? Well, it's not a battleship anymore. It's a new T2 Battlecruiser:
Fuck . yes.

Just unlocked L3 Missions :v: Time to upgrade some stuff on my Myrm to T2 and I should be ready to face L3s. [editline]23rd October 2011[/editline]
Just don't mine. And then remember not to mine.
Do not mine. I regret doing it now and I should have listened to FP when it came to Eve.
Chances are it won't. You want a 21-day trial or do you already have one? I started in June or something and only now am I getting ready to actually enjoy the game. :v:
i already got the trial :(
i already got the trial :(
Alright, feel free to ask me questions if you have any. Sadly, you removed me from Steam recently but feel free to PM. :v:
Is there some trick to level 4 missions I'm missing? I was absolutely blitzing the level 3's in my drake, but now level 4's in my raven are almost killing me every time. Any suggestions? I'm a massive noob when it comes to this game, been playing for a while but on and off, so simple suggestions are appreciated! Pretty standard, good fit too! Are you up against guristas/serpentis? If not, you need to change your hardeners to fit the pirates. Try fitting a damage control in the last low slot, too.
The mission I'm on right now has me up against drones, what hardeners should I be using? I was going to fit one but I've got too little cpu so i have to buy an implant or something i guess. Is there any way to tell which ships will trigger the next waves in a mission? And secondly what should i be aiming to kill first, the larger ships or smaller ones?
Drones do omni damage, so you would need to fit two EM hardeners and the third would be whatever the raven's second lowest resist is. (Can't remember off the top of my head) Also, show us your skills. Also also, start training for a Tengu. List of all mission stuffs: http://eve-survival.org/wikka.php?wakka=MissionReports Since the Raven has a drone bay (I'm pretty sure), assign the drones to kill frigs and cruisers while you attack BCs and up with your missiles.
Alright cheers. Stupid question, how do i do that? I was told that i should be aiming for a CNR for level 4s??
To show your skills, register on EveBoard using your API key: http://eveboard.com I recommend hiding your ISK, clones, and implants though. Mine looks like: http://eveboard.com/pilot/Commander_Kennedy The easy way to get the skills you need in order to train for a Tengu is to create a plan in EveMon for it. If you don't have EveMon you can get it here: http://evemon.battleclinic.com/
http://eveboard.com/pilot/Valder_Stronk And yeah i've got evemon, but do i really want to be training for a tengu over a CNR?
YES
I was told that i should be aiming for a CNR for level 4s??
If you want to stay with Caldari ships and want to get into the battleship class, the Navy Raven should be your next ship after the Raven. It fits a solid tank and does "decent" dps. If you're going for a dedicated mission setup though, consider aiming for a Machariel. I've used all of the "best" mission ships (CNR, Golem, Tengu, Nighthawk, Nightmare, Paladin, Vargur, Rattlesnake, plus all the standard tier 1-3 racial battleships), and none of them are close. 1000+ dps on a ship that has the speed and agility of a cruiser; it's as perfect a mission ship as you can get.
YES
Nope
Coming back to this game again after I heard of the massive fail inbound to WoW. I plan to do piracy. Which Faction does it the best?
And yeah i've got evemon, but do i really want to be training for a tengu over a CNR?
The thing about the Tengu is, it's only good against Serpentis and Guristas. Against the other factions, it's not as good as the CNR. And the problem is, Guristas and Serpentis are the two worst rats in the game. They have by far the most annoying ewar (jamming and damps), their loot/salvage is crap, and their missions are generally shit payout for the effort. Leaving Caldari space and moving either to Amarr or Minmatar space is the best thing you can do as a mission runner. This is why I recommend the Machariel. It excels no matter where you are (though it's best in Minmatar space). The CNR and even Golem also have that versatility, but neither is as good as the Mach.

Do any of you guys have a PVE fit for an Ishtar, which incorporates T2 Ogres? I'm using the top pve ishtar fit from Battleclinic but i feel it could be better.
winmatar
Fuck Yeah.
Adios, FCON. I'm gtfoing.
This has just confused me moreso. Do I continue on my path towards a CNR (having a raven already) or train for a tengu, or train for a Machariel?? And that aside, should i move out of caldari space to start missioning with my raven?
YES
Tengus are only useful for sanctums. and wormholes.

Use that to run missions while you train the skills needed for a Machariel (T2 large autocannons + gunnery support skills, Gallente/Minmatar BS, and afterburner skills). It's a lot of training, but projectiles and Minmatar ships are worth the time; it sets you up nicely if you want to break into PVP (Minmatar > Caldari in most situations).
