Blasters still suck.
Not to sound rude but a single active thread doesn't show me if a game is active. Though you got a point with the active forums. I'll go and redownload it. EDIT: Which race are most of the people on here playing?
He's the one being rude and you're right one active thread doesn't mean it's still around. There was an APB thread still going after the game shut down though to be fair they were looking for a buyer and did find one. As far as race goes just play whichever one you want; they can all fly any ship with some training. Minmatar are popular if you want to do pvp, Caldari are good for missions. Regardless you can fly any race of ships and still do well if you've got the skills.
I must say, space looks much more 'spacier' after this patch.
It gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling.
Someone please explain why blasters don't still suuuuck i dont understanddddd
What's not to love about getting in close and tearing your opponent's ship a new one?
It gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling.
The places I go, it's just more darker. more space like. Not inside a large cloud.
What's not to love about getting in close and tearing your opponent's ship a new one?
Getting capped out immediately, usually going up against ships that have similar agility and can kite their way through most of your tank before you're in range, and getting cycled even once by ECM when you're there means you're twice as fucked. Also, unless you're fitting at least ions with damage mods the DPS isn't close to what it should be for all the trouble. Am I missing anything? When did blasters suddenly not suck and not need a fix? [editline]30th November 2011[/editline] Daredevil doesn't count
I spend 30m isk for an hour pimping out my brand new Caracal. As soon as I undock and jump to the next system I immediately get gate-camped. fuck this gay game
Why would you spend 30m fitting a T1 cruiser? Has Max been teaching you?
SIXTY DAY TRIALS
Greetings again Capsuleers, Crucible is here. It has new nebulae, new ships, scalable UI, lots of balancing lots of cool features and a plethora of tweaks and fixes. It’s been a long few months of getting back to the roots of EVE, and we hope this shows you, the players, our direction for the foreseeable future. We’re going to be evaluating new approaches over the next year to get new people to EVE, and we’re launching the first one right now this holiday season. Later today, you’ll find something new in Account Management: a transferable 60 day trial game code. This is a new special form of trial, one of many we’re going to play with. We’ll talk about the 'why’s' in a second, but first here are the rules: These codes are single use. These codes are transferable. They can be copied and sent via most any means, and are good for creating one 60 day EVE trial account. All trial account restrictions are in place These codes may not be used to extend any existing trial or buddy account, or to add game time to any previously existing EVE account. New users can redeem their code in three easy steps: o Visit https://secure.eveonline.com/Activation o Enter the Code o Enter account details These codes must be redeemed and used by January 24th Availability of regular 14 day and 21 day Buddy trials are unaffected by this promotion So, you’re saying to yourself…”that’s a neat extended trial key, but what is in it for me?” The answer is, honestly not much. Just a bigger richer EVE and a chance to give your favorite person in the world something they can’t get anywhere else. We thought we’d try an experiment and see what would happen if we gave out 60 day trial keys for EVE players to pass on. It’s that simple. Again, Crucible is about getting EVE back to its roots, it's in-space, player driven roots. Over the years we’ve gone from a “buy now” model, to a short trial, to a longer trial method of getting new players to experience the EVE Universe. Looking back at the data and surveys over the last few years we see people wanting more and more time to get familiar with EVE. The 14 days we settled on is looking a little long in the tooth in the modern world, and honestly, EVE is just really big and players deserve more time to really get into the game. So, grand experiment #1, give out 350K 60 day trial codes. The only way to get one is to ask an EVE player or have an EVE player ask you. We’re not looking for hordes of l337 kids with ADD We’re hoping that an extended trial to poke around in the EVE universe will give more folks the time needed to get engaged and get involved in EVE Online. And, given the crowded schedule of holidays and new releases around this time of year, we’re hoping that extended play time let’s people pickup and learn EVE at their own pace. So do with these what you will; drag a friend to 0.0, sucker a friend into helping you mine, or just bring in someone who likes the pewpew. Right now, EVE is as beautiful as it has ever been; space is vast and full of lazor beams. Get in the game.
Jesus christ, 60 days. Guess I will be getting an alt now :v:
What do I do if I can't remember the name of my character while trying to log in? Would someone be willing to give me one of those 60 days trial codes? I'd really love to try out that game again.
You log in with your account, not your character.
But it asks me for the name of one of my characters. I haven't logged in in a while and my playtime ran out but the website asks me for the name of one of my characters which I honestly can't remember after almost a year.
Why would you spend 30m fitting a T1 cruiser? Has Max been teaching you?
Because I wanted to be ~*good*~ and nullsec is expensive. :(
I just managed to do 1000 damage with my PVE fit hurricane against Guristas in nullsec! Might not be a big deal but I was quite surprised to see me doing it at the very least.
