I still don't get why the top picture and first trailers showed them using XM-8's. They didn't picture any minmatar weapons because no one wants to use a slingshot and a spear.
They also tend to utilize a high amount of dropsuit power grid and CPU systems
Does this mean that the suits in Dust will be fitted in a similar fashion to ships in EVE? Forgive me if it's a late development but I haven't really kept up with Dust.
That looks really awesome actually, for some reason I wasn't expecting a modular vehicle customization system. Though looking back that seems really stupid considering its CCP.
Yeah just like ships.
Although I did see a jeep with something like an insane powerplant.
Eve spaceship spreadsheets don't scale down well to planetary vehicles.
Is it going to be console exclusive? If so, that's pretty bad since EVE is well.. a PC game. All of the playerbase has PCs so you'd think they'd at least have a PC version.
EVE is PC exclusive.
DUST is PS3 exclusive.
All's fair in love and war, and in case you didn't notice, EVE is WAR.

Well, this at least gives some value to my PS3 as something other than a Bluray player.

The Minmatar gun fell apart before they could get a picture of it.
So I just bought a Hookbill. Was it worth it???

Ship means nothing. Skills/fit means everything.
Lost about 800m in the course of 2 days. I think I'm done with lowsec for a while. V:v:V

Although gravitation is the weakest of the forces - it's enough to rip a few gaffer taped metalpieces apart.
anyone knows when CCP usually do the "re-activate the game for 5$" promotion?
i wanna try the game again but i'd be upset if suddenly at Christmas they'll do that promotion after i activated for 15$.
so i decided to reactivate my account for a regular 30 days for 15$. then 4 hours later -- and i'm not kidding -- i get an e-mail to reactivate my account for 60 days for 15$.
DID THEY DO IT ON PURPOSE, JUST TO SPITE ME?

For some reason I can't see the majority of the PS3 community embracing a game like Dust is supposed to be.
I'd buy Dust if I had a PS3. Although I still think it was a bad decision to make it exclusive. But whatever, still looks nice.

Going back to the post I just made, if we're really lucky, the PS3 community won't embrace a game like Dust, won't sell as much as CCP wanted it to, and they'll release it for PC. Damn I hope we get lucky.
I thought DUST 514 was going to be free to play? Did I just imagine that or something.
It's like Guild Wars.
Pay once, play free forever. Plus you'll get some items when your first start that will be equivalent to the money you spent in the first place.

Those poor defenseless fellows.
I could actually see the minmatar using ancient AK-47's :v:

Not rusty enough.
Anyone know of any worthwhile pirate or pvp corps?
I'm kinda bored.

If I was to join a 0.0 corp, I think I would actually prefer one of the smaller ones.
I'm really tempted to reactivate. :S

It is small, and it's entirely PVP, unlike alot of the "0.0 PVP" corps which are just scrub corps that participate in alliance blob CTAs.
Okay I've ran into a minor decission problem.
I'm currently doing PvE with some salvaging to get me started and I'm about to buy a BS. I just don't know which.
I asked a few people in my corp/alliance and they basically said I should by a Dominix or a Megathron.
I'm more into drones tbh. But I don't know if drones are good enough to get me through higher level PvE missions. I'm still very new to the game.
