I'm not even going to pretend I know how to handle a supercap. I move in and out of null every few months and never really get that far even though I'm not far away skill-wise. Where do you park it when you need to do other stuff or do you just have to give up subcaps entirely?

You really have to have a character totally developed for it, who sits in it 24/7. If you can't do that, you usually start with a holding character, who can use the hull and nothing more, and you just hop in it when you need it.
I'm actually holding it for my friend (It's his :P), since his main is the only one who can fly it well atm, and he wants to actually use his main for subcaps until he can get a dedicated pilot for it. So I'm swapping it between my main and a garage alt who can't even run the tank (lol).
If you thought caps were stressful, supers are 100x worse. Feels like flying a goddamn coffin everywhere, since everyone and their uncle wants to kill you. It's a bit better since it's a PL Char (What moron would drop supers on PL?) but the fact that it's A. Not mine and B. Not mine makes it really nerveracking.

15 minutes before DT my buddies and I are roaming Syndicate. We hit a hisec-null gate and make use of the bubbles for a while.
2+ neuts hit local. One of them has almost the same exact same name as a CEO of a corp in our alliance. I search the first few characters in his name and he has-- literally-- dozens of alts with same name in dozens of different corps. I'm an alliance director, but I was in null when they joined, so at least it's not my fault.

Old as fuck, but entertaining.
I was using mostly hybrid rails since I was trying to stick to ranged combat. Then about 21 weeks in I got told to use a rocket launcher in a quest. And my god was I converted.
Now I use rails at range as I close the gap before dunking out a shitload of rockets.
So satisfying against low level pve.
If russians had their own server like the chinese and japanese, eve would instantly be a better game.
