This.
I find that playing other MMOs makes me get back in the EVE mood quickly.
Crap that five free days thing + 60 days time for $20 deal is ending tomorrow I think. But I want to wait until the new player experience is implemented. Unless it already is.

Think the date for that is 21 June. You could always subscribe and just queue up skills and wait for it...
Lasers dont work in space because they produce to much heat which cant be given off to space via a heat exchanger, it can only radiate which takes ages.
With normal guns the heat gets transferred to mass which is ejected into space.
There have been alot of tought about getting rid of heat in space and its one of the things keeping us from going to other galaxy's.
Being in space doesn't necessarily mean that it wouldn't be able to radiate out, the specific heat of the apparatus that is used to cool it would determine the rate at which heat is given off. Remember this is science fiction meaning that they also have technology which we don't have so their methods of cooling would be significantly more advanced then ours. With the normal guns heat would still be generated in the guns when the projectile is fired due to a large amount of friction on its way out or from whatever propulsion method is used whether its an explosive-like gun powder or something similar.
About going to other galaxies the main thing that is keeping us from going to other galaxies is the fact that we can't travel faster then light, hell we can't even get to Pluto in a relatively short amount of time let alone out of our own solar system, getting to another galaxy is way too large of a goal for our current space programs.

find a way to make/collect/etc. copious amounts of exotic matter
create somekind of a warp drive/wormhole generator/bend cosmic strings
fly around in space like a boss
I want to get back into EVE but I bored myself to death (almost literally sometimes) by hanging around in tedious wormholes. I didn't mind PvP but obviously, a reliable fund source has to supply this so I need an idea to go if I resub again.
I get the same problem.
I have a love affair with Eve in which I love the game, but I'm rather uninterested in playing it.
But I did get stuck in a small pocket of low-sec with -10 outlaw in which I'm slooowly grinding back up.
I'm thinking of joining RvB for some casual pew pew.
I wonder if dusties can plex
i wonder whered they get 350mil tho, being cheap pawns :iiam:
Sup, I'm selling my character "Bulaba Jones" so he is no longer me, just an FYI.
Why?
I bought a 20msp pure leadership alt to take his place, his skills were somewhat scattered, and it makes no sense to have 3 chars on 2 accounts.
Just watched the DUST514 E3 trailer.
My body is ready.

And now I just saw the video announcing that it's a PS3 exclusive.
My body is no longer ready.
Blame Microsoft.
Blame Microsoft.
Well you can't blame microsoft for it not being PC.
Just watched the DUST514 E3 trailer.
Personal Body Armor costs more than a Rifter.
I assume Dust equipment is going to be manufactured by players. If that's true, it will start out expensive and then prices will fall as the market becomes saturated.
Would putting a webber on a stealth bomber and hunting down frigates with torpedoes be viable ? Or would they not slow down a frig enough to insta pop them?
Their sig radius means they won't be taking any appreciable damage, and you'll pop in seconds because SBs are paper thin.

You can blame Microsoft for it not being on the 360 though, thanks to the TF2 Problem.

Well can't I stick a target painter on there as well to increase its sig radius?
You can get 2k volley damage with a bomber, even if it drops the damage by 50% cause of the sig radius. It should be enough to kill someone with the 2nd volley.
Fight in a real frigate.

TP won't make that much of a difference. Frigates take very little damage from torps, so you will end up dying.

Why would you want to hunt frigates in a bomber? A destroyer, cruiser, assault frigate, hell even a T1 frigate would be better for hunting frigates, and they're cheaper.

Assuming best case scenario (i.e. fighting a MSE AB rifter) you'll get about 50-60 DPS.

I don't think they will be made by players. I doubt you can create things in Dust, the average console player (read: fucking moron) won't play any game that is anything more than "kill things". And EVE players prolly won't be able to play it because at one of the fanfests, I think 2009, they said that if all the Dust players suddenly died, EVE would still work, and if all the EVE players died, Dust would still work. So if Dust would still work without EVE, then EVE players couldn't be able to create things.
5 days for free
:woop: time to play this for the first time since like February. Its a great game but gets boring after some time.

Disappointing it wouldn't work.
I wanted a ship that strikes like a spider . Sneaking up close to it's enemy, webbing it and takes it out before it knows whats happened.
Use a force recon then.
