I think you're severely overreacting to this, as nobody really tried to make a personal attack on your playstyle.
Guys, seriously, we don't need a 5 page discussion about Rayven wanting to mine.
If you're really so confident in it turning to shit, then you can shut the fuck up and let things run their course.
At the end of the road of mining, perhaps, but it's not like Mining is all there is to do in Eve is it, So I've reached the height of mining, so what?
As long as there is skills to train, mining will never be a dead end. Nothing will. If you get rich mining, it serves as a catalyst to venture into the different areas of eve. You're not going be stuck mining forever.
Play how you want.

Finally flying a cruiser. happy day.
I'm excited that I'm getting back into this game. I've had about 3 trial accounts over the past 2-3 years but I always got stuck as soon as I got to a Cruiser and couldn't really get started properly. Now that I'm living with my Uncle who is also a very experienced eve player is going to guide me through the process of starting out and said I could even join his Alliance after a couple of months after I get enough skill points.

Who would be hosting comms? Or would we be using eve voice :laugh:
I could possibly get people on Sniggwaffe Mumble, I'd just have to make some temporary access tokens. If anyone else however, has a normal vent/ts/mumble, that would be alot better, because Sniggwaffe mumble is forum/api linked.

I used to play this a while ago, and now since It's summer and I have nothing to do, should I get back into EVE? I got a 21 day trial from a friend, so I'll use that, but what race should I go this time? Good old Amarr? Minimatar?
