Well I was training for a Tengu, then my corp got into mining so I decided spur of the moment to train for a hulk and then continue on to train for my Tengu. Already using a Drake at the moment to do level 4 missions as I have semi-decent skills in missiles and shielding.
Don't crosstrain [I]to[/I] mining, that's incredibly useless. You make more money just continuing ratting/missioning.
Finally after all this waiting, I am now qualified to pilot a Tengu :woop:

If you haven't trained Weapon Upgrades to 4, do that. Helps immensely with CPU load.
AWU 5 is probably the best skill in the game, imo.

I'd suggest that you train at least into a Retriever.
If your corp goes on mining ops and you want to mine, take that thing out and go mine with it on a corp mining op. Don't waste the time to train for a Hulk when you could be dedicating that time to getting all of your subsystem skills to V (which is 100% necessary if you want to fly the Tengu.)

It's really not that hard to determine what turret is what in the new update coming.
Each turret still carries their respective faction style. Blasters still look greenish with bright bands of light on them just like ships of Gallentean design. Railguns (Accelerator Cannons) have a blue/silver tech appeal, just like any Caldari ship. Autocannons/Artillery guns perfectly match the color scheme of Minmatar vessels, and energy turrets are gold plated, just like on Amarrian ships.
The benefit of the new update is every single turret has a distinct model and animation type, so if you're really familiar with them you can just look at their ship and instantly know what kind of guns they have strapped to it.
