Goddamn FCing all day and all we succeeded in doing was not catching a cloaky tengu (twice) and losing a tempest.
So it's not fun?

Maybe if you weren't such a terrible FC you would have caught the cloaky Tengu first go and wouldn't have lost a Tempest.
To correct myself: We "lost" the tempest because it got away. And I don't believe you can judge on catching cloakies, given that you've been doing nothing but running missions for 90% of your EVE life.
In the other 10% I spend my time in a cloaky Tengu pissing off fleet commanders trying to chase cloaky ships.
I will agree that the cloaky-nullified T3's are ridiculously hard to catch if you don't have a group of interceptors to burn them down. I've only managed to catch two or three in any fleet I've been in.

Killed them all without a scratch to my armor.
About 5 Destroyers, 1 cruiser, and about 15 frigates.

My post was only partly to lambast Max. The point is that you already CAN buy ANYTHING YOU WANT to get ahead. Characters can be bought for isk - Which can be bought in the form of GTCs for IRL currency. Items can be bought with isk - again, for currency. Reputation, skillpoints, SOVEREIGNTY even, all of it can be bought with enough cash on hand.
Is Thorax any good for pve/pvp? It's a rather pretty ship and i'm considering training for one. :v:
I still have it, only blowing up hero rifters, just waiting on pulse lasers to finish training, just saw one floating around and i really rather liked the look of it.
Says something if i'm flying stuff i only like the look of rather than practicality.

After much deliberation, I have created a new account(my old one is long lost to me). Hopefully, I can actually get somewhere this time. My main goal is exploration. Lots of it.
