Even if you don't purchase things through microtransactions, they still have an impact on your game. I stopped playing TF2 simply because I could no longer keep up with all the new items flooding into the game, along with the less balanced items being in the hands of everyone who has $10 to spare.

it's understandable imo, as the leaked newsletter which was confirmed to be real, shows devs talking about plastering up eve with micro transactions, ammo, ships, faction standings, basically treating eve as a money cow and beta testing their engine for World of Darkness. Ignoring player feedback, breaking promises etc.
I feel eve online is the next starwars galaxies D: we all see the storm on the horizon... I hope CCP addresses that news letter or we can say good bye to EVE Online.

It might just be that they were using something like the Six Thinking Hats [url]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_Thinking_Hats[/url] where you want to throw out all ideas, all perspectives in order to have a constructive and open discussion. Then all the bad points were taken out of context and leaked, but I don't know maybe they just want to make more money for their World of Darkness.
