I don't see what the fuss is about. CCP isn't forcing players to buy this stuff, and there's no reason to even care about who gets to buy it and who doesn't if it's overpriced to begin with.

Megathron, Dominix, Brutix, Myrmidon, Vexor, Thorax, Incursus, Tristan, Moa, Rokh
I'm not saying [I]everyone[/I] uses hybrids on all of these, but they're all good ships. What BBJ said is exactly right.
I don't even use hybrids and I know that is the dumbest thing I've seen in this thread.

Drone ships, of which only half at most of their dps comes from drones.

I'm flying a Catalyst right now, using 4 autocannons, 2 hybrids and 2 particle blasters, all small. There's really not much to do with this ship so far, and I want to explore, so I'm thinking I should save up for a nice, big cruiser and outfit it with a few guns and some drones, so that I can start probe exploring. My que's already full up for the next 2 days or so, though.

Blasters do the same. It just depends on pilot skill. Those who can master the use of blasters will benefit from their awesome DPS.
Besides, if a blaster boat gets a scram and a web on you, you're fucked.
