Half of most alliances are supported by Indy people. You can't always get money by just killing people. Besides, who are the people that build the titans?
Not the same people who sit 23/7 mining rocks in their hulks, I can tell you that
...
Is that honestly what you believed?
Shit. I decided to do some probing, I found a wormhole. Go through said wormhole. I investigate system. Forget to bookmark wormhole entrance.

[thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5182016/2011.07.21.20.19.01.jpg[/thumb] Pretty ship.
Are you in your probing ship?
Yeah but I'm incredibly rusty with probes. Took me an hour just to find said wormhole. Also there are custom offices on each planet, not sure who they belong to though.
Yeah but I'm incredibly rusty with probes. Took me an hour just to find said wormhole.
You're most likely in a wormhole with a high sec static, just take your time and scan it down again (make sure you show info on the wormhole before you go through to ensure it goes to high sec), it might not go to the same high sec you entered it in, but high sec's high sec I guess high sec high sec high sec high sec
Missions are so fucking boring. I need to go far to get into null, and I also need to get my standings up.
Yeah but I'm incredibly rusty with probes. Took me an hour just to find said wormhole.

Learned quite a few things in that video, like holding shift moves all the probe. That'll keep exploration from dragging ass, aligning all the probes.
Holding alt now also moves the probes away from a central point.
This might be too much to ask, and I don't want to sound like a beggar, but I'll give it a shot. I love EVE, but my character is awful. 1.6mil SP, and I make all my money through the EOH Poker site. If anyone has a character they don't use that's better than mine, I'd gladly use it. The game just isn't enjoyable when your character is as worthless as mine, there isn't anything I can do other than just let it sit and train. Just shoot me a PM if this is possible.
1.6Mil SP isn't useless. You can do alot with less SP than that. Get a Rifter and a cheap fit, go to low sec, Repeat till successful.
How did you even get into a NS corp? Most of the time the requirement is at least 5m SP.
It's beautiful.
Is that honestly what you believed?
No actually it means I don't even want to bother with you. You act like some activist or something like mining is really that bad. Let people make their own choices.
I don't criticize people for mining, I only criticize people who think they're making an honest difference by mining or think they can make a lot of ISK by mining---because both of those aren't even remotely true.
Having got my start in mining, I developed a strong hatred for it given all the time and SP I wasted, that's why I always encourage people not to do it. I've been there, I know for a fact that it's a waste of time. Even if for some ungodly reason you enjoy it, do something else to make isk and let mining be the thing you do on the side for fun. How anyone could find it fun, I have no idea, but some people get off on pain.

I mine sometimes [sp]to gain corporate trust[/sp]
Kind of mine, too. I first started off with mining because my CEO wanted me to pursue it, and then I was saved from certain death by a fellow corpmate who told me to train up for a Merlin and some basic frigate skills.
At first I did mining to sell ammo. I made ammo at my corp's POS sold it cheaper then everyone else. Got really boring really quick though.
I just can't believe you guys were able to stick with mining as long as you did. I made the classic mistake of trying to mine in an industrial like it seems every newb does and realized how agonizingly slow it was so I tried mining in a Bantam with a buddy to haul for me. While it was slightly more efficient I got to the point where I hated it and gave up on mining altogether.

Let people make their own choices.
You seem to be a bit backwards hehe A new player was asking why people were against mining and I explained why it's shit for a noob (and in general) Then you said something kind of stupid and I refuted it, what seems to be the problem?

Eventually I got it into my head that I would get rich doing it in lowsec, tried, kissed the asteroids, was unable to align and died. Starting off fresh and stupid in Eve was the best feeling. On that note, I FC'd with a concussion today, oh lawd

Scheduled alliance op, I was supposed to FC, dicked around with roommates beforehand, bike wheel lands on face from second story of house, I FC.
