Having got my start in mining, I developed a strong hatred for it given all the time and SP I wasted, that's why I always encourage people not to do it. I've been there, I know for a fact that it's a waste of time. Even if for some ungodly reason you enjoy it, do something else to make isk and let mining be the thing you do on the side for fun. How anyone could find it fun, I have no idea, but some people get off on pain.
I could either mine.. Or be a huge ass, keep and sell the Hulk my corporation bought for me. I think I would mine.
And let the corporation take a share of your already measly profits from selling processed ore to pay off the ~200mil ISK Hulk they bought for you. What sounds better, ~200mil in the push of a button or ~200mil in a month and a half?

saw this advertised on the ad box in eve online http://isktheguide.com/ worth reading? it's 100% free for the pdf :v:

any one know any guide that recommends what skills to train as a beginner combat pilot? right now i'm aiming to fly a cruiser and i want to make sure i'm training the right skills for it and not just the ones which are required to fly it.

What ship do you fly, what sort of combat do you do, what sort of combat do you hope to get into, etc.
"Combat pilot" is a very broad term. What ship do you fly, what sort of combat do you do, what sort of combat do you hope to get into, etc.
oh yeah, i forgot to mention; i'm gonna fly a minmatar cruiser, no sure which one yet (would like a recommendation for that as well!). i plan to do PvE combat - L1, and L2 missions if i could handle them.

Look at your certificates and train some skills for those, especially the core certificates. They help compensate for power load so you can fit better things on your ship for less power use. I use those as a guide and they work pretty well.
Doubt it, there's no real proven method for gaining ISK. There's just ones that pay less and others with high requirements.
You have absolutely no idea what that guide is. It's completely worth reading, as it explains EVERYTHING about eve in great detail.
Are Minmatar ships viable for mission running?
Are Minmatar ships viable for mission running?
All race's have ships viable for mission running.
All race's have ships viable for mission running.
Ok, let me clarify. Is the Hurricane viable for mission running?
Ok, let me clarify. Is the Hurricane viable for mission running?
For level 3's yea
The Hurricane is basically the Drake of the Minmatar Republic.
Has there been a sudden rise in ! icons lately or is that just me
The Hurricane is basically the Drake of the Minmatar Republic.
Except the Hurricane doesn't blow massive dick.
Maybe if you knew how to fit ships proper you would think otherwise.
I once managed to lose 4 canes in a month and even I know that Canes are actually pretty good.
> compare a good battlecruiser to a ship which can fit a pretty good tank > everyone disagrees
> compare a good battlecruiser to a ship which can fit a pretty good tank > everyone disagrees
Not really... It can fit a decent armor tank, but comparing tank wise the Drake can fit an uber shield tank if fitted properly, the cane is mainly a dps powerhouse armor canes are pretty pointless in my opinion they are alright for gang warfare and what not but if you want to really do some damage you want to rock a dps shield cane, stay out at range and engage your targets. The cane is my primary PVP ship, have been flying one for nearly 3 years for just solo pvp.
Man what with these back to back Delve and Deklein deployments I haven't made any isk in a month...

Is anyone in need of a trial invite? I'm in need of some quick cash if anyone later subscribes.
Why are BPCs so cheap in contracts? Surely they should be really expensive, as you are basically selling multiple ships/modules.
