Wormholes appea regulary and you can check which leads where. For example the Wormhole I'm in has a static high-sec entrance. Means if it gets closed another one will appear leading out of it. You're never really trapped in a wormhole unless you're in a ship without probes. In the worst case you can make suicide to get out.

TBH SP doesn't really limit you [I]that[/I] much E.G. you can still tackle a carrier in your fine frigate star-vessel
Once you have the basic support skills up you're ready for action really, it's up to you to grab the game by the balls and find yourself some fun

Ratting seems to be the most common form of gaining wealth in null.

My golden rule in solo PvP is picking your battles/never putting yourself in a position where you have no choice but to fight. A well fit Rifter with an evasive asshole behind the wheel is a mean surprise for most people.

Assuming as soon as he hits Hurricane he'll change to PvP fit.
The classic recommendation: Don't hop up ship sizes too quickly, or you'll find yourself without any support skills and a ship that costs 5 times as much as a cruiser, but functions worse than a well-fit one.
so i'm finally getting close to running level 2 missions. i'd really like to hear what people may think about the ship/fit i'm using for it since i'm a total newbie regarding ship fitting.

oh man, i'm getting my ass kicked in a level 2 mission called "the blockade".
i read about it and apparently it's terrible if you aren't doing it right. i learned how to trigger the waves and it worked well, but now i'm stuck in the final wave with some godawful T2 frigates and a weird 112k-bounty "domination shatterer" which should drop some decent loot if killed. my poor fragile Stabber can't handle it though :((

crap, changed my fit to long-range sniping and killed the Domination Shatterer. only got faction 1000 small projectile ammo. bleh. /unhappy
