Lost a first ship, a cane, was hunting a pve fitted mission runner on a domi, was hunting him for an hour, he was gone from local once, kept extending aggro, eventually he came back. BUT he came back with a pvp fit and dominix with a warp scrambler is a bitch, so yeah, I got owned. The guy has like over 110 kills and only 17 loses, this was my ONLY real good pvp encounter and I've been playing for around 45 days only, you live you learn I guess, good experience.

Grab a rifter and check belts for scrubs.
I swear I've spent longer patching this thing than I have downloading it. Guess I will have to wait.

Anyway wanted to apply to suddenly ninjas, but realised they're probably wardecked all time and everyone knows that griefers get camped always :(
3.2b scam GET
How got?
Very carefully.
out of the thousands of people who play eve my new corp finds the one religious nut. This dude seriously said that since I'm not religious I am the antichrist and satan himself. And a quote from the dolt himself (directed at me): 'Tobi Talon > 17.. ur not even old enough to tell whats right, wrong, existent or non existent... personally i think ur gothic or something...'

Better not, the power of christ will blow your ship up.
You sure he wasn't just RPing an Amarrian dude?

Am I the only one who has issues with EVE like, clogging my internet? While it's running I can't browse the web, talk on steam, or run pandora without extreme lag or getting knocked off. This didn't happen until the newest big patch.
Everything else gets a little laggy, but I don't really mind.
So i was out ratting in nullsec when i came across a Hulk and a Badger Mk 2 being raped by a rifter. I warp in and start locking onto the Rifter, telling him in local to leave, he obliged almost instantly. I then tell the Hulk and Badger (I'm assuming its the same guy on two accounts since they both had the same last name) that i'll stay and protect them until their cargo bays are full, no reply. So i go to get something to drink, when i got back i find both of them shooting at me with everything they have. I ask them why they are attacking, no reply. I decide to ignore them for a while since they're hardly scratching my shields, repeating my question. I finally get a reply... "Fuck off pirate bitch" Then i destroyed their ships and swiped 6mill worth of ore and modules. :v:

Okay so I've had Eve running for a couple days now and I'm extremely lost. I've managed the controls, I understand the basics of Missions, crafting, mining, fighting buying/selling and I love scanning (even though I'm not sure on how useful it is). The only bad part of this game I see is I don't know what to "do"? I don't have any goals or know what goals are even available. I know stuff takes a lot of time and I'm willing to do dull and boring tasks to achieve my goals but I can't even figure out what to do with myself. Can anyone tell me what to do or where to start etc? This game seems to want me to stop playing but I refuse to submit. I'd link my profile to show how far/fucked I am but I don't even know if you can. Please help? I'm fine with links to walls of text if they are relevant and you can vouch that the information is worth the read.
Your goal is to make money. That's it really.
Even that's not required.

In general you need to decide for yourself what your goals are. Do you want to be a combat pilot? Do you want to get into industry? If you decide to go the route of mining you need to get out to null sec ounce you get to covetor. It just not worth it if you're not in nullsec. If you do go out to null sec then its a good idea to get into drake and/or(preferable both) a hurricane. More or less they're the most used ships for fleets.

what kind of sense does it make to have an unprotected hulk, and a paper-thin inty without any support. Dumb bastards. Even i'd never do anything that stupid.

Industry - Mining and manufacturing. I hate mining personally; you make shitty isk and the skills can't be applied to anything else, it's a dead end path. Manufacturing also is a hard way to make isk, until you get into T2 and capitals, but that takes a long time to do and the market is already cornered by people that have been doing it for years. Trading - Buy and sell goods for profit. Trading is very difficult to get into, but it's the best way to make isk for a solo player. There's a lot of risk involved because you can get undercut easily, but when you find a niche, you can really get going. The difficulty lies in acquiring seed money and figuring out what to trade and when to trade it, as values are always changing. Missioning - Complete objectives to collect bounties and LP. I would say the "easiest" of the big isk earners. Very little risk involved, you don't need to depend on anyone else, and you make decent isk. It's not easy when you're low skill, but once you turn the corner and get a good BS with a deadspace/faction fit, missions become a breeze. Pirating - Roaming lowsec/nullsec in the hope that you'll find targets you can kill. Extremely difficult to do, and a bad way of making money (most pirates have alts that run missions or do some other income generating activity). Expect a lot of losses. Ninja salvaging - Go to a mission hub and use combat probes to find ships. When you scan them, you warp into their missions to take their salvage (and loot if you don't mind the sec hit). If you do loot, pray that the missioner shoots you so you can switch to a combat ship and kill him. This profession is not as profitable as it used to be before the Noctis was introduced. Exploration - Go from system to system trying to find signatures with probes, in the hope that you will find a good loot drop. I find this highly tedious; decent sites get picked over quickly and there's no guarantee you'll find anything good. I dislike professions that require luck, and this one is all luck. Wormholes - Kill sleepers to collect the salvage they drop, and fend off other players who want you kill you. I have very little experience with living in wormholes, personally, so I can't say how good the money is. I know sleeper components are valuable, but sleepers are much more difficult to kill than standard rats, coupled with the fact that w-space is treated as 0.0. I've heard people say they make good money running sleeper sites, but I assume they have a good corp situation (meaning they're not solo). Incursions - You clear sites that have special Sansha NPCs to collect bounties and LP. These are not a solo activity, you absolutely have to have a fleet. Incursion rats have advanced AI and are extremely difficult to kill, and finding a good incursion fleet is even harder. Basically you need to either fly a logi, T3, or Nightmare or you will get ignored. If you do fly something people want in their fleets, the money is good, though it's highly competitive. Nullsec Wars - Essentially, join a 0.0 alliance and get tossed into a war. As a new player you'd probably want to fly a frigate hull, so you can learn how fleets work and get accustomed to the insane amounts of lag you will encounter. With the changes to anoms, an average player like you will have a harder time making isk, depending on where your alliance is and how much ratting space they have. Belt ratting sucks. This is obviously a simplified list, if any of this sounds interesting, I'd recommend using google or joining Facepunch Chat in-game for more detailed info.

I myself had trouble figuring out what to do when I first started playing and had the cliche MMO mindset of "I need to do quests" so I kept running missions for one agent thinking they'd eventually run out and they would point toward another agent. I was playing on a trial at the time and I didn't really get bored of it until I subscribed and I began to hate missions. Anyway you might find this helpful.
