Thanks, will preorder from them if Skyrim is Steamworks.

I agree with this, :P
I hated how in Oblivion, no matter how awesome or lucky your headshot with a bow was, if it was not the killshot, the arrow automatically placed itself in the midsection of the enemy. Call me a freak or whatever, but I love going up to the corpse and examining my handiwork. It's so dissapointing to see a bandit with twenty arrows right through the belly-button. Maybe they should make it similar to Mount and Blade? No matter how strong you are, headshots fuck you up.

I saw in the the demo video that the arrows killed in one shot, not sure if he was just a master in Archery or if they actually made the Bow and Arrow do some damage.

I would say this is most definitely fixed in Skyrim, just by looking at the railgun in FO3.

If you look closely, you can see that when Todd brings up the skill menu earlier in the video, his Archery skill is 61.
Anyone have personal experience with Amazon Preorders in the US?
Do you get it release day or do they first ship it on release?
I would just preorder from the local gamestop but they tend to fuck me over.
If you preorder with Release Day Shipping, you usually get it release day. When this has worked, I got my games at around noon-ish in my area.
On the one occasion where Release Day Shipping didn't work (as was the case with Witcher 2 for me), they refunded $10 after the first day for being late. Since the game ended up being about 3-4 days late, they gave me a full refund, which means I basically got Witcher 2 for free.
So either way you win. Get it release day, and have fun. Or, if it somehow ends up being late, get a partial refund. If its more than 2-3 days late, a full refund.

Sneak attack x6 damage!
(In Oblivion, when you kill an enemy while undetected it deals 6 times the damage as usual. Usually it's enough to kill in one hit. I imagine this is why.)
I'm a master marksman in oblivion and I tend to one hit just about everything when sneaking
As long as you specialize in marksman and sneak you can pretty much one hit anything always. Given that monsters are tailored to your level and all.
Hah.

Where's your vault now?
That is amazing. Now I kind of want both of those things if only to play a very interesting version of house with some barbies.

We also have confirmed DB armor. Link for curiosity: http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1219553-dark-brotherhood-armour-2/
The force you would block would put tremendous stress on your wrists.
In most cases the force would send your own weapons back into your face.

As if the force you output with the sword while attacking wouldn't do the same thing?

I had mine laying out for five minutes and one of my dipshit cats managed to claw a giant rip in it >:(
It can't be Akatosh, because Akatosh is actually Alduin (who is the main antagonist for Skyrim).
Sneak attacks with bows is x3
Has there been any information on how many different types of dragons we'll run into in Skyrim? I see we have our original fire-breathing dragons (Black Dragons according to TES lore) and then the more powerful frost-breathing dragons. I wonder if we'll get one that spews lightning or acid?
I'm guessing the only friendly Dragon I could see in the game is a Red Dragon since one aided Tiber Septim and worked as a mercenary.
a derg that shoots semen

oh god how long until that's modded in

I told that rookie to stay hidden.
If I remember right, I saw somewhere that the beast races are going to have humanoid legs.
I'm assuming it means pretty much the same thing as in Oblivion.
Just Preordered Limited Edition from Ebgames.

Aww yeah.
Didn't see anyone posting it so here you go.
Can you make love in Skyrim?
Can you make love in Skyrim?
That hasn't been confirmed, but making love to Skyrim is possible.
2 seconds after release, and then nexus is filled with type 3 bodies and animated sex.
2 seconds after release, and then nexus is filled with type 3 bodies and animated sex.
I look forward to the anime elf sex slaves in Skyrim, I can only imagine what kind of sick shit they'll do now that there are actually relationships in the game.
now that there are actually relationships in the game.
WHAT!
source please! this is the first i've heard of this.
1 day and 35 hours? How long is a day where you live?
Also, people complaining about not being able to block with dual swords. You do realis that swords are TERRIBLE for blocking right? The general rule is that when you don't have a shiled and someone attacks you you move your dumb ass out of the way.
It's a mistake in calculating it - it's supposed to add the excess to the days, but for some reason it didn't exactly when I took the picture. It fixed itself when I restarted it.

I'm not entirely sure if they've 100% confirmed this yet, but I wouldn't doubt it. It's not that farfetched.

is that just the game or do I get a map, like with the normal version of Oblivion?
if it doesn't come with a map, does the collectors edition? even though I can only find that for £129.99 here and quite frankly: fuck that
[editline]11th August 2011[/editline]
and as I asked a few pages back, my better facial textures mod isn't working, any help?
and could somebody link me to the ctrl+click instant sell mod?
All I know is that any retail version of Skyrim should come with a paper map.
The last few games had it, most big and open worlld games have them.
