will there still be map markers to places that aren't on the carriage system? I missed a whole lot of areas in Fallout3/NV because of the fact that there was no indication that there was actually anything there
The hollow ^s on your compass mark undiscovered locations in Fallout 3/NV. As far as I know the map at the start of Skyrim is blank, large cities may still be visible as it's the camera pulling back over the world but I don't know how detailed the map is or if undiscoverend things are hidden.

That was probably the only reason I sometimes decide to go on foot.
Just bought Skyrim, feels good.
I came here expecting updates, and I found none :colbert:

You'll be able to see major cities and the landscape that way
Also, a comparison pic where the maker didnt get everything fucking wrong

Also, a comparison pic where the maker didnt get everything fucking wrong
The Morrowind Argonian looks like a Sheep
I dreamed I was playing Skyrim. It was glorious.
So did anyone figure out / does anyone know if you preorder from newgg, does the "3-day free shipping" for Skyrim actually get to you on release day? Otherwise I may go with Amazon
I dreamed I was playing Skyrim. It was glorious.
Ever since I pre-ordered CE I've been bragging about it to anyone I can at work. Needless to say only a couple of them knew about The Elder Scrolls series and only one of them actually play them. My work place stinks for RPGs. I love how the races actually look different now rather than having 4 head meshes (and one body mesh) spread over 10 races.
Why the hell that Redguard look like a drow?
Why the hell that Redguard look like a drow?
It just looks like a black guy with a beard and gray hair, to me. To me, drows need to be.. less buff and more elvish than him, at least.
Why the hell that Redguard look like a drow?
because black people, believe it or not, aren't reddish-brown
Thank god Dark elves are bad asses again.
I'm kind of dissapointed at the fact that redguards don't have the red tone anymore, hope you can change it.
because black people, believe it or not, aren't reddish-brown
they're brown though, not as black as they look in that screenshot - he looks like he's been covered in molten rock
hey guys, i have something to tell you!! it's a secret but.... black people are..... can you believe it... DARK! they're not red like how they teach us in the elder scrolls! they've been lying this whole time! can you believe it? a video game..... with BLACK people!!!!
I always thunkded that redguards were red as it says redgard :((
I always thunkded that redguards were red as it says redgard :((
That's just to avoid racism and stuff, although maybe they evolved after Oblivion and became darker because of all the Heat oblivion gates produced and all the dragons and.

That's just as hilariously stereotypical.

or maybe there's ridiculous sliders (just like in oblivion where you can make fluorescent argonians) and the people that made the characters knocked one of them just a bit too high
It's kind of night time in that screenshot too, not to mention every character won't have the same skin tone.
Rage will use Steamworks, gives me hope for Skyrim (don't give a shit about achievements but it would be nice to have a serial with the boxed copy)
or maybe there's ridiculous sliders (just like in oblivion where you can make fluorescent argonians) and the people that made the characters knocked one of them just a bit too high
Way to ruin my fun :C.
They're certainly not coal-black with white highlights, though.
it's common for someone with that kind of dark skin to go with white dreads, atleast in the carribean. that's not stereotypical as much as it is... a black person with white dreads?????
I'm not talking about the hair - I'm talking about the skin.
I've never seen a black person with white dreads also the last ~10 pages of this thread has been a racism gold mine [editline]13th August 2011[/editline] or should I say coal mine
they're brown though, not as black as they look in that screenshot - he looks like he's been covered in molten rock
Yep, ALL black people are brown
