in Oblivion, initiation into the Dark Brotherhood was initially going to be a note left beside your bed that told you to meet Lucien Lachance at Fort Farragut, but it was taken out for some reason (a large variety of beds in different places, perhaps? maybe the developers couldn't find appropriate places in all bedrooms for notes to be left)
What was wrong with sneaking a note in your inventory like they did with Daggerfall?

it would be better than some creep dressed in black appearing at your bed, giving you a heart attack
We know.
Have they said anything about essential characters ? that was the worst part of oblivion, not being able to slaughter the dark brotherhood. It should be more like fallout new vegas
reading up on the UESP wiki, I didn't know that the lore regarding Mundus was so large
I wasn't aware of anywhere other than Tamriel, and it kinda made me think that Bethesda can continue making games until they've milked dry every province of every continent of the TES world... this pleases me

[sp]Also I can't help but feel me posting questions 7 times every page is shitting the thread up, when most people are talking about Skyrim solely now. So if other people feel that way, I'll just go elsewhereto ask questions.[/sp]
I hope they have some sort of disguise ability like the one in New Vegas (Yes I know they're made by different people). Like you can kill someone of the town guard and take their uniform and as long as you don't get too close to the other guards then you can get into the palace and such. That would be cool.
I'd like to be able to hide bodies. Would make it more worthwhile to attempt assassination and stealth quests.
I'm sure the dwemer will eventually return, in a future Elder Scrolls.
Would make for a fucking awesome skyrim expansion.. investigating the disappearance of dwarves and maybe going to whatever realm they are stuck in.

"Hey Tom hows it-

Hopefully when somebody finds a body of an allied faction or something, they'll actually go looking for you.

I believe that was confirmed in one of the features-list someone posted. You could disguise yourself as a guard or other factions. Can't forget about the factions that are waging war for the throne along with the Dragons returning.
Also, I hope I can cast an invisibility spell while talking to a someone who has their back turned. I'd be the Norse Batman.
being able to walk around while having a conversation will be awesome, depending on how far the conversing range is you can do some roof hopping while old man norbert is telling you that his wife has gone missing
I really want to play a stealth-only orientated character in this (like the Agent class in Oblivion), but I don't think that would work really well in Skyrim. Combat with dragons seems to be a big feature with Skyrim, and I guess it'd be hard to kill a dragon with a bow and arrows.
Dragon shouts seem to be another big feature as well. Also in the QuakeCon footage, there was only one instance where the character could sneak up on enemies in the cavern system.

the character can sneak up on anybody at anytime like in oblivion, and todd also said there are shouts dedicated to sneaky sneaky characters

It would at least make escorting people more entertaining. In Oblivion, I just fast-traveled to the destination and wait for 48 hours.

That sounds rude, a guy is trying to tell you about his missing wife and you go off to jump around on peoples houses, Jerk.
I don't think you should get caught by the guards if you get to close, maybe if you do something suspicious, or maybe talk weirdly to the guards, but of the 1000s of guards, you think they're gonna see you aren't one, I mean, unless you aren't an Imperial or whatever

I think it's about them recognizing a description of a criminal. "Hey wait a second that odd fellow over there in that rare dwarven armor matches the description of a murderer"
I hope they get a whole bunch more voice actors for this one. The repeating voices in Oblivion irked me.
In the same vein, do we know if any celebrites shall be voicing any characters? À la Patrick Stewart and Sean Bean?

Only Max von Sydow as of now. Probably more to be announced.

If I steathly kill someone how will they know I'm a crimin- oh wait yeah omniscient guards forgot
Oh, and just read Skyrim is going to have 70 voice actors.
Well, New Vegas have 96, so I was hoping for more.
New Vegas also had more people most likely. Plus they were also voice Robots and nonhumanoid characters
Can you guys help me out? I reinstalled some mods and when I reloaded my game, this keeps happening:

what's the problem?
the game not rendering at all besides the menus
everything is grey (or sometimes black)

Im hoping they've balanced that whole system for rp, so its not like the Oblivion arena where the game intentionally tries to punish you for leveling anything but your close combat skills.
Hopefully you can fight dragons with a sense of opportunism, going into forests or rocky outcroppings and pegging them with arrows in places they have difficulty reaching you.
Or you can book it to the nearest town and hope the respawning guards are enough to kill them all.
Also, at this point I'm really not sure how I want to play Skyrim first. Every time I get back on my redguard I'm reminded how shitty the sword combat is. I might go wood elf since a ranger would be pretty cool.
I think I'm just gonna make an Argonian or Nord and then play and see what the fuck happens. I know in Dark Messiah I was all pumped on wanting to be a thief but in the end I became a sort of Battle Mage that was also a good shot with the bow.
