Join Mages guild. Carve a bloody swathe through the necromancers with sword and shield and still be called archmage for shits and giggles.

Go Troll hunting or Ayelid ruin 'diving'. If you want a more 'formal' questline i'm going to have to agree with Teracotta, the Mages Guild Quest line is outstanding.

In Morrowind, it actually makes somewhat sense to fight like a warrior in the mages guild, since it's more like the Dark Brotherhood than anything else. They ask you to go murder someone all the damn time.
Oh god tavern brawls and marriage? I'm going to get fucked up at the local tavern come home and get an earful from the wife.
Hardly anything new in the Q&A, only confirmation of the merge of two armour pieces, tavern brawls, and marriage.
