Now that I look at it, Skyrim kind of looks like the wilderness of Maine, just more exaggerated.
Not to mention Elsweyr, Black Marsh, Valenwood, Summerset isles, and Morrowind were overthrown and conquered and/or seceded from the Empire.
But in all reality I think that increases the chances of one of those provinces being featured in an upcoming game. Sounds like good story to me.
True, but what would the story be? You'll have to fit the Elder Scrolls into it somehow or the title of the series would become redundant and pointless.
Like I said, all the shit foretold in the Elder Scrolls that set the stories of all the games so far have apparently been building up to the story of Skyrim. Skyrim's pretty much going to be the climax of the overarching story.
Not sure where I read it exactly, I'll have to look for it when I'm done sleeping.

The prophecies told in The Elder Scrolls do not end at the return of Alduin.
What they mean when they say, "The other games led up to the events in Skyrim..." is that in the games, you played through the events leading to the fulfillment of the return of Alduin prophecy.
The shattering of the the Staff of Chaos - Arena
The return of Numidium - Daggerfall
The Nerevarine's fight at Red Mountain - Morrowind
The opening of the Oblivion gates - Oblivion
And finally the return of Alduin - Skyrim
That's not to say the prophecy won't be broken in this installment. (Which it will be otherwise the world would be destroyed)
And even so, there are almost infinite more prophecies to be told by The Elder Scrolls.
I think Argonian ruled morrowind will be a interesting place.

No! I didn´t fulfill the Nerevarine prophecy five times just so that argonians would come and destroy morrowind!

Morrowind took place on Vvardenfell the island in the center of Morrowind.
Vvardenfell was destroyed when the Ministry of Truth crashed into it causing Red Mountain to erupt.
Some time later, the Argonians invaded the Morrowind mainland forcing the Dunmer to flee to Solstheim.

I know that, I still don´t want those pesky argonians in Tamriel´s pearl.
man you guys know that book about the elder scrolls The Infernal City, imho i thought it was pretty bad. i guess i was hoping there would be more actual oblivion stuff in it :argh:
they could have quite easily changed the title and the place names and it would have made just as much sense.

Too bad Nerevarine took on a trip to Akavir and was never heard from.
I had an idea about a dungeon where you find all the enemies dead, charred and sliced to bits and in the end a small encampment with a note written by the Nerevarine about retaking Morrowind. You would find there a few artifacts from morrowind and a 'her hand' scimitar. All having 10 or so durability.

Wait, the Vivec Ministry of Truth?
Wait, the Vivec Ministry of Truth?
Yup. After Vivec went "missing" the Ministry became unstable, the Dunmer constructed something called the Ingenium which, powered by living souls, kept it afloat. Then some girl was picked to be the next soul so her lover destroyed the Ingenium, causing the Ministy to fall and destroy Vivic, which subsequently set off Red Mountain completely razing Vvardenfell.
It's covered in the book, The Infernal City, I believe.

You can use "dispose of corpse" option when looking through a corspe´s items, however you dont carry the corpse. You just remove the corpse and take all the things it carries.
