Looking for oblivion combat enhancers, is Deadly Reflex worth the trouble ? should i get anything else ?
Tribunal does seem all that interesting so far, but then again I've not really played much and I'm always having to manage the time and my hunger for blood. Also BTB sounds like a complete jerkface.
Looking for oblivion combat enhancers, is Deadly Reflex worth the trouble ? should i get anything else ?
I've been curious about the same thing. Deadly Reflex seems to be the best thing out there, if you are willing to put in the time to make sure everything runs perfect. People also tend to forget you don't activate DR when you rebuild the patch in Wrye Bash, it actually causes some of the bugs that people complain about. If you do get DR and you have Wrye Bash, rebuild the patch for the .esp and THEN activate DR.
Oblivion keeps crashing as I walk toward this Oblivion Gate... Irony? [editline]16th August 2011[/editline] Are crash logs saved anywhere? This is quite annoying now...
I really hope the Worm King returns in Skyrim, in Daggerfall he was badass! In Oblivion there was all this hype in the Mages Guild. One of the books described him like this:
The deathly horde fell fatally, but heeding their dying cries From the depths, the thing they called Worm King did rise. Nirn itself did scream in the Mages' and Necromancers' war His eyes burning dark fire, he opened his toothless maw, Vomiting darkness with each exhalation of his breath, All sucking in the fetid air felt the icy touch of death. In the skies above the mountain, darkness overcame pale, Then Mannimarco Worm King felt his dismal powers fail: The artifacts of death pulled from his putrid skeletal claw.
And then you finaly meet him... [img_thumb]http://images.uesp.net/6/6e/OB-npc-Mannimarco.jpg[/img_thumb] Seriously?! Just a freakin' Hig Elf? Now thats a letdown. The fight is not even challenging. I hope that wasn't the real Worm King, and the real one will return in Skyrim to kick some butt!
oh man this is terrible I found that a 360 controller works with Oblivion, and I thought "this is cool, I can sit on my bed and play with the 360 controller where it's more comfortable..." I kinda forgot that using a controller to play an RPG was a terrible idea
wat why is it a bad idea
I kinda forgot that using a controller to play an RPG was a terrible idea
I'd usually have problems playing FPS with a controller due to the fact that I am used to using a mouse and keyboard, but I will buy Skyrim for ps3 if my computer can't run it.
I hope Skyrim involves lots of rape, pillaging and the burning down of houses.
I don't know whether to get Open Cities Reborn or Better Cities. I doubt they are compatible with one another.
I think the better cities OMODs have an option to enable open cities, though they will not work with open cities reborn.
There's rumors going around in the Skyrim community that a new trailer might be unveiled today at Gamescom
I think the bonuses are dictated by what skills you use between level ups, so if you wnt strength bonuses use skills governed by strength.
Yes, if you level up a certain skill, it adds to the "pool" of the governing attribute. It's a shitty system, though... because it assigns points on a curve, so if you level up security or athletics unintentionally, it fucks up how many points you get for your specific attributes on level up. He was badass in daggerfall, and you could work for him. When he returns he should be like "champion of cyrodil? Mage's guild? I'm so above that shit."

Didn't the "real" Mannimarco ascend to godhood from the Mantella during the Warp in the West and that's the explanation behind the Necromancer's Moon event? Or are the several Mannimarcos from each ending of Daggerfall?
I'd usually have problems playing FPS with a controller due to the fact that I am used to using a mouse and keyboard, but I will buy Skyrim for ps3 if my computer can't run it.
That was my decision maker when I pre-ordered the PS3 version. I only have a laptop and have no plans getting a desktop in this foreseeable future so it was either PS3 or Xbox and I've come to admire the PS3 more than the Xbox the more I play games for it.
I really want to play Oblivion now but my brother broke my external hard drive, I am going to force him to buy me both Oblivion GOTY and Morrowind GOTY as a fee.
Ka Po' Tun is translated as the "Tiger-Dragon Empire". The inhabitants are a cat-like people and are ruled by the great ruler Tosh Raka, a tiger dragon. They are the greatest empire in Akavir, but are not skilled at fighting at sea. After the Serpent people ate the men, they tried to eat the dragons. They managed to make the red dragons slaves, but the black dragons fled to Po Tun. A great battle was fought, and it left both the cats and the snakes weak, and the dragons extinct. Since then, the cats have always tried to become dragons. Tosh Raka is the first and only so far to have accomplished this. Covered in orange and black scales, he is the largest dragon on Nirn, and it's believed that his eventual goal is to invade Tamriel.
(from the lore book 'Mysterious Akavir') I'm curious how the other dragons on Nirn are going to tie into Skyrim, if at all.
(from the lore book 'Mysterious Akavir') I'm curious how the other dragons on Nirn are going to tie into Skyrim, if at all.
Well we know that the current 'race' of Dragons that we face in Skyrim are Black Dragons, who escaped to Tamriel when the Tsaesci (the Serpent guys) enslaved the Red Dragons. The only Red Dragon that we've encountered in the Elder Scrolls series was Nafaalilargus, who worked as a mercenary for the Empire around the times of TES: Redguard (who is then later killed by Cyrus). Rather confusing but I know the Tsaesci and the Ka' Po Tun are not on good terms with eachother. This leaves things unanswered on their situation with the Dragons. [editline]16th August 2011[/editline]
I think the better cities OMODs have an option to enable open cities, though they will not work with open cities reborn.
I'm aware of that feature, however, both mods revamp the cities completely now in their own way. I'm just really not sure which one might be better.

Or am I too much into Dnd-thinking? Jill's are Alduin's Dragon-Family, which includes Frost Dragons, Black and Red Dragons, but they are all different (yet they are the same) with the classics.

These are Alduin's minions specifically? In that case, we may not see anything dealing with Akavir as a major or even secondary threat.
Uh shit I accidentally entered my birthyear in the Steam store as 2011. Now I can't get anything. What do?
Thanks! Does anyone happen to have a link to the whole thing? I can only find the first bit.
Late as hell on this, and there's a good chance you've already found it yourself, but here's the most complete version that's been released so far

They are just Alduin's dragons, they are the same type of dragons like Akavir had but they are different origins.
Uh shit I accidentally entered my birthyear in the Steam store as 2011. Now I can't get anything. What do?
Because a 0 year old would have steam right? Clear your cookies maybe.
Uh shit I accidentally entered my birthyear in the Steam store as 2011. Now I can't get anything. What do?
Happens to me all the time, just wait a little while.
Nevermind, still works from my browser. That system is fucking stupid. Why even use it when everyone is just going to lie anyways?
Just restart Steam, I always end up doing that. [editline] August 15 2011 [/editline]
That system is fucking stupid. Why even use it when everyone is just going to lie anyways?
Legally obligated
Nevermind, still works from my browser. That system is fucking stupid. Why even use it when everyone is just going to lie anyways?
Legal reasons or some bollocks.

That doesn't start at the beginning of the song though. They say something before the DOVAHKIIN DOVAHKIIN starts. What's that?
