Well there are two points to that. 1.) shitty hardware that is a console This is opinion. The consoles may not be able to reach the capability of PC's but not everybody has the time or resources to keep their PC up to standards when it comes to gaming, and consoles keep a 'up-to-par' basis for gamers. 2.) it should run fine on PC assuming they've properly optimized it. I don't think the game running well on PC is the question. It's whether or not your PC will be able to handle it.
Ok wait just a second. 1) I was talking about the computers they were listing, not just generic PCs Not to be a douche but who really has a computer with 512 MB RAM anymore as their main computer? If you do, I feel bad for you. But it means you haven't bought a PC in the last 7 or more years. Or you only have a netbook. Computers don't have to be "up-to-par" but 512 MB RAM in 2011? Console hardware being shit is a fact because they're how old now? The rest of the box ain't that great either. If you have an OKAY computer, and the game runs on a 7 year old machine, then it should run on your computer if they optimized it. For example, a game where not even extreme machines could run the game well was GTA IV on PC (granted when it first came out). It was one of the worst ports ever. I'm not saying consoles suck for gaming and if you own a console you are inferior, but it's old hardware. You cannot deny this.
While console hardware is shitty compared to PC hardware, it's made purely for gaming and is therefore less shitty than a PC with the same hardware...
Console games are so very optimized to run on them. It's not so much "it's dedicated gaming" as "they've been around forever and developers know how to use the hardware" (much much less ram, more powerful processors, eh GPUs)

I really hope they won't show the same demo at Gamescon.
I just reinstalled Morrowind, and am planning on playing it after I get bored of Oblivion. But while rereading the TVTropes page for it, I ended up being lead to this mod, which should be useful to anyone who hates being attacked by the Dark Brotherhood before you complete the main quest of the base game, because knowing the reason WHY someone's trying to assassinate you, having it happen any earlier makes no sense!

The armor I won in combat was extremely valuable for how far in the game I was, I loved it. [editline]16th August 2011[/editline]
What I hated in oblivion is that if I decide to kill some ancient old man, and take is clothes, he has a buff six pack body of a healthy young man. When I loot old people's clothes I want them to be wrikley and shriveled. The same problem was in both fallout 3 and fallout new Vegas. I'm hoping that if your face is old,( like moving the age slider all the way right) , then your body will be old and gross looking.
Oh Bethesda/Skyrim forums, you sure do crack me up.

Thanks. The person who made this should make another version for Bloodmoon, too. [editline]16th August 2011[/editline] http://www.moddb.com/mods/morrowind-rebirth This mod's looking really good so far. I'm going to give it a try with my next playthrough.
Well, Bloodmoon doesn't force you into Solthsteim like Tribunal does, so you can ignore it all you like while you fuck about in Vvardenfell. Also, I just found a mod that SUPPOSEDLY gives Argonians a Constant Water Breathing effect while still allowing them to complete that one quest that requires you to drown to progress. Here you go.
By the way, does any quest direct you into the Puzzle Canal and is it OK to go in there anyway?
I love Nehrim. Everything feels unique and it's actually fun and rewarding to explore dungeons.
Apparently Tomorrow on X-Play (G4) they will be showing Skyrim.
i am going to be a orc man they look so cool
Found this interesting:
I love seeing shit like this where people point out possible improvements and how there's a wider variety of choice than noticed at a first glance.
I've decided my Oblivion character was arrested while peeping in on some ladies while on a heist so steal a spear. Unfortunately the spear was given back to Crantius Colto and he returned to Morrowind.
Q: Still wondering about dual wield blocking. It seems VERY silly to not allow the player to block or parry while using two weapons. A: Can only do one thing when you pull trigger: block or attack. That’s the tradeoff. You don’t get the best of all worlds
This is strictly a console limitation, so I'm hoping it gets remedied through mods. Also, what about bumpers or whatever?
That is a very Lusty Argonian Maid.
This is strictly a console limitation, so I'm hoping it gets remedied through mods. Also, what about bumpers or whatever?
I'm actually the one who asked that... I think he thought that I meant at the same time like, attacking and blocking. I asked him to clarify but he tweeted that he was not going to answer any more questions. In the demo video it looks like the player blocks after slashing the guys throat in Bleak Barrow Falls, In my opinion. If there is no blocking while dual wielding, I'll probably get over it. But it does seem a bit silly... (I have a picture of what I mean but I can't post it, so...)
Oh god no. They added bloody screen effects to this one. Why did they do that? This isn't fucking call of duty. It's not immersive, it's like splashing things on your camera. It just reminds you that the fourth wall is there. Why can't developers make stupid annoying shit like this optional?
Well blocking with a sword when you are holding it with one hand isn't really that effective when you think about it. Being able to parry would be nice, but when it comes down to it, if you use two weapons you can do more damage, and will be able to evade attacks more easily than if you were using a shield which is large and cumbersome. That's how I look at it at any rate. At above: Which screen effects are you talking about? I hadn't noticed any (besides blood splatters and other things to that effect) in the gameplay videos, although I haven't watched the latest ones. Edit: Unless you mean "bloody" literally, in which case I don't see how it 'ruins' immersion.
Oh god no. They added bloody screen effects to this one. Why do they do that it ruins immersion
Ironic, because I'm pretty sure most game devs think it adds to immersion. Unfortunately, they're wrong, though. :v:
Well blocking with a sword when you are holding it with one hand isn't really that effective when you think about it.
Blocking ineffectively would be better than just tanking all the hits, in my opinion. Especially now that you can't back away quickly and dance around in combat like you could in Oblivion. A parry system would be just as welcome, my original tweet was, "Let's settle this once and for all, the community seems to think you can not block/parry while dual wielding. Is this true?"
Oh god no. They added bloody screen effects to this one. Why did they do that? This isn't fucking call of duty. It's not immersive, it's like splashing things on your camera. As far as the blood splatters on the screen go, I would rather get that than have the screen blur every time you get hit, like in Oblivion. If you completely remove the screen effect, it can also become harder to tell when you are hit.
Although it blurring with a slight red filter would be better [editline]16th August 2011[/editline] My automerge
I'm okay with the screen effects so long as I don't get the silly red jelly on my screen like in COD; it doesn't even look like blood.
I'm hoping you can disable screen effects as a graphics option so you don't have to see the bloody screen which is so realistic
hope they fix this in skyrim. game breaking.
