Is it bad I don't visit their forums? I loved Oblivion, kind of joined The Elder Scrolls after Arena and Daggerfall but that's okay.

If it's anything like New Vegas' forum on there you're missing out on nothing important.
hope they fix this in skyrim. game breaking.

He's right but you might be getting the wrong type of attention with a title like that.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim V6: Old people's naked bodies
This is strictly a console limitation, so I'm hoping it gets remedied through mods. Also, what about bumpers or whatever?
I swear to god if this ends up being true I'll kill something. Is it even really that hard, even on a god dang console, to add blocking without a shield?
True as in no blocking while duel wielding
2. Are kids killable in the game?
A: No
Fuck, why have them in there at all then?
Kills immersion.
IF I WANT TO KILL EVERYONE IN THE TOWN TO TAKE THE TOWN AS MY OWN, I DO NOT WANT TO SHARE IT WITH PESKY CHILDREN.
I expect the good community to make a release day mod for this.
Kids should only be essential if, like other NPCs, they are NEEDED for a quest.
Q: Is there any form of regenerating health without any perks etc?
A: Health, magicka, and stamina all regen slowly over time.
I don't like this either, maybe there will be some sort of hardcore difficulty that disables this.
Otherwise, to mods I go again.
Q: Still wondering about dual wield blocking. It seems VERY silly to not allow the player to block or parry while using two weapons.
A: Can only do one thing when you pull trigger: block or attack. That’s the tradeoff. You don’t get the best of all worlds
You think someone with the soul of a motherfucking Dragon WOULD get the best of both worlds.
Last time I checked Dragon Soul > Hannah Montana
Kids can't be killable, it would create a massive shit storm in the media and in addition I don't think they can make them killable legally. (I should mention that I think it would better to just not have kids at all in the game, but it makes more sense for there to be some children here in there in towns, just please don't give me this little lamplight shit again)
Stamina should regen and it wouldn't make sense if it didn't; using magic in morrowind could was a bit of a bitch since magicka didn't regen at all, and the regen rate in Oblivion I thought was fine, so I assume it will be similar in Skyrim. As for the health regenerating, I can only say that I hope it is rather slow, so that you don't have to waste food/potions when you are riding somewhere a fair distance away, but should still use a health potion if you are nearing enemies, although I would prefer it if it didn't regenerate.
Blocking with a sword with one hand is horribly inefficient as you are more likely to break your wrist from a powerful attack than deflect it, and I can understand why it wouldn't and shouldn't be in the game. However I think there should be a perry system, in its place for dual-wielders. I am not sure how maneuverability is in the game right now, so you might be able to evade and dodge attacks more easily or something to that effect if you are dual wielding, and playing a rouge-ish kind of player.

No more V#
Threads no longer have a max post limit afaik.

Exactly...
but it makes more sense for there to be some children here in there in towns,
NOT if they aren't killable...

I was referring to health and mana, not stamina, I suppose I should have specified.
It's alright that the mana regenerates I guess, so long as it's slow... but IMO health shouldn't regenerate at all.

And yeah, I WAS talking about parrying.
I would say that's close enough to blocking, and that's all I would expect from dual wielding.
It's not a complete game breaker for me, but parrying would be awesome.
I thought it might've made sense not to be able to block with dual weapons, you'd be some kind of berserker anyway,
make up for no blocking with heavier armor, I don't know.
You could just learn to dodge shit. Blocking can't be completely imperative. Would get really stale and repetitive if it was just stab, block, stab stab block stab block stab stab block stab die. Like in Oblivion.
In Oblivion, I found Block to be among the most worthless skills. I'd either just take the damage like a man or maintain my distance.
I want kids in game and the ability to sacrifice them to the night mother like ded babby in oblivion.

I still need to choose my weapon. I don't want to just have a Sword or Axe.
The ability to damage kids in games does nothing for me, at all.

I don't go around murdering children either but I have to say it does look silly to have a bunch of children wandering around town like nothing happened after you killed the entire village.
The ability to damage kids in games does nothing for me, at all.
It's not the ability that adds to the game for me, it's the inability that takes away.
Killing everyone in a town and having kids still running around is stupid IMO.
EDIT: Yeah, just like JC said.
Or alternatively you could have the children run the hell out of dodge.

there's no point in putting it in, they'd have to deal with people complaining about it and even possibly legal issues ( as dumb as it may sound) so why bother putting it in if someone can easily mod it

Just make it so the children run and "hide" (aka, run out of the area) every time trouble starts on the street or in the house.
If their parent/s gets killed, then they vanish from the game. If their parent is alive, they return to normal life soon after you leave.
Don't worry though, killable kids will be like, the first mod for Skyrim.
Hopefully they do something like what hypnotoad suggested.

I have a good feeling about Skyrim using Steamworks.

Every Bethesda game since New Vegas has used Steamworks except for Hunted: Demon's Forge so it safe to assume Skyrim will too.

Hell send that to beth.
That would be a better mod than killable children.

This. They'd get in trouble and they know someone is going to mod it in anyway.
I love to play Elder Scrolls games just to mess everything up in the game. Steal everything, kill everything, be liked by no one. Just be a total dick through out the game.

Aye, but now it's even more confirmed.

I don't think it IS illegal to murder kids in video games.
Deus Ex let you kill kids.
Maybe ESRB would wind up rating it AO now-a-days, but it wouldn't be 'illegal'.
At least as far as I know.
Anyway, I may mod it in myself.
Have mod tools been confirmed on launch, or will they be coming out after?
