I dunno, you go to that part of US and everything more or less is orange tinted.
obsidian are lazy so they just thought "fuck it, instead of actually making the game look nice, we'll just change it from green to orange"
I thought that about most everything in NV, most of the buildings and such are just reused FO3 models.
It's no gamebreaker or anything, but it annoyed me.

what's that? the fallout 3 melee animations are shit? fuck it, it'll take too long to remake them, we can spend the time we could've used more productively making a terrible ammo crafting system that nobody uses
Why is dual wielding shields such a wanted feature? It's pointless. Who in their right minds would run into combat with two shields?
Imagine this: You and your buddies are just standing around at your camp, minding your own business, when out of nowhere comes a giant Nord, barreling towards you holding a pair of shields. Frozen with shock, you stand there as he rams into you, crushing your sternum and sending you rocketing off the cliff your camp happens to be situated upon.
The last thing you see before humorously rolling down the mountainside like a paralyzed bear is him smashing the rims of his shields into your friends' necks, nearly decapitating them with the force.
it's really impractical but would be funny to screw around with is another reason
Am I the only one who wasn't really bothered by the green tint in Fallout 3?
Skyrim thread,
Fallout discussion.

It's daft, isn't it?
I'm off to talk about Halo.
In the CoD thread.
Am I the only one who wasn't really bothered by the green tint in Fallout 3?
The tint doesn't bother me nearly as much as the poorly made textures, models, and other resources in NV.

I want to dual wield shields after seeing a Shield Monk in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2.

reusing perfectly good art assets in a game that is meant to be a spin off and developed under strict time pressures?
call the police

most of the new assets in NV were fine, though they were of course a different style to FO3's
the tint sucks in both games, in FO3 it assists in making everything the same dreary colour whereas in new vegas it just washes everything out, I consider a mod that improves the contrast a necessity in both games

FYI the crafting system was fine and it was much more useful than FO3's (in that I actually used it).
Besides, they replaced a few of the animations, most notably the walking ones, with much better replacements. Even the melee weapons have a shitload of new special attack animations, obviously none of them look perfect because of gamebryo's shitty animation system.
Fallout NV looks like shit, Fallout 3 looks like shit, they both have unnecessary and terrible colour filters, Fallout 3's plot was full of holes and had a shit ending, Fallout NV's plot was full of holes and had a really good ending and had some actual moral choices beyond "Dick or not-dick"
Let's all stop being over-opinionated about Fallout and start [del]being over-opinionated about TES[/del] talk about TES now.

For instance: why does Lucien always scare the fuck out of me whenever I sleep a few hours after I've killed someone for the first time as a character.
There's a mod that makes the tint blue instead
[img_thumb]http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/images/41763-3-1305378978.jpg[/img_thumb]
IMO, it is too tinted (The default one, that is)
Why wouyld you make the tint blue when you can just remove it? I think the default looks better, though it is a very lazily implemented form of colour correction. The FNV advanced shaders mod adds some nice rich orange colour correction, which fits the world while not looking as... muddy as vanilla.

Speaking of which did anyone try going throught the entire DB questline while always choosing the "[Say Nothing]" command?

I hope they have more quests like the Glarthir queest in Skyrim, that one felt really natural since you could acquire it in multiple ways, do it in multiple ways and complete it in multiple ways, none of which felt forced or contrived.
