Question: Since Skyrim is a steamworks game, will the boxed version have a code to use it on steam, and add it to your digital library? I would rather have a cool map and a physical copy of the game instead of a tf2 hat.
Playing Oblivion and dicking around with the character creator has made more excited for Skyrim. I now know the true horror of the potato face.
I hope they have more quests like the Glarthir queest in Skyrim, that one felt really natural since you could acquire it in multiple ways, do it in multiple ways and complete it in multiple ways, none of which felt forced or contrived.
Once I actually attempted to follow the three "suspects" around in their daily lives. I managed to keep track of Bernadette Peneles all day, mostly because she's one of the few characters in the game who looked attractive (unless viewed from a distance, for some reason). I made it halfway through Totius' day before getting bored and didn't even bother with Davide Surille. Then I ended up killing Glarthir for the Dark Brotherhood cred.
Yesterday after assassinating Valen Dreth and being caught and chased by Imperial soldiers to the ends of the earth, I learned that mudcrabs are far more important than an assassin of the Dark Brotherhood.
Fuck it I'm gonna start playing Oblivion again. It's been a long time since I played. Any mods you guys recommend?
I know it's a bit late, but regarding the whole "dual-wielding blocking": I thought it was kind of common sense that you wouldn't straight up "block" something with a sword/weapon/something that isn't a shield. If you've got a shield, and someone does an overhand chop with a weapon, it'd be alright (somewhat) to block it straight on with a shield (sure, you're arm would probably go numb or something). You couldn't really do that with a sword though. I always assumed that you would 'deflect' or turn away the blow, so that, instead of cleaving your face off, it would swipe past you because you redirected it. Then again, I don't know anything about real sword fighting or dual-wielding, but I've automatically entitled myself as a dual wielding expert after reading every book in this bad-ass mother-fucker's series. Oh, yeah, and how this pertains to Skyrim? I dunno. Maybe they could make you side-step or something. Or actually do a 'parry' instead of full on block. I dunno.
Blocking with a sword can be very damaging, too. If you block sharp bit to sharp bit, then the sword can get massive chunks taken out.
Finally getting aroud to playing oblivion through properly, without cheats etc... First time i've used a character other than an imperial or nord, going for a mage type oh and fuck yes to liquid water
Just installed my GOTY Morrowind and was wondering which graphics mod is the best and runs fine on most PCs, I have a decent enough PC to run most recent game but last time I had a graphics mod for Morrowind my PC lagged majorly.

I'll do that and stream it?
I really wish you could reverse pickpocket in Oblivion, would have made the grey fox's cowl much more fun. and thus, I hope they add it in skryim.
Like stealing something and placing it in someones bag and have the guards jump him for thievery.
I really wish you could reverse pickpocket in Oblivion, would have made the grey fox's cowl much more fun. and thus, I hope they add it in skryim.
I remember seeing a mod somewhere that introduces a spell that essentially gives any hapless NPC the grey fox cowl for a certain amount of time, if not forever.

(@Noobmaster) 1:55, YES. THAT'S WHAT I WANTED. SLIT THROATS FROM BEHIND. INSTANT KILL. I know that's old, but I just noticed it now.

How do you enable AA with OBGE? I tried doing it through the Nvidia control panel, but all I get is a yellow screen which makes it look like I was pissed on one too many times.
How do you enable AA with OBGE? I tried doing it through the Nvidia control panel, but all I get is a yellow screen which makes it look like I was pissed on one too many times.
Just enable an AA shader file. I use MFXAA, found on the wiki. But MDLAA works fine too.
At least Liquid Water works well:

[editline]19th August 2011[/editline]
Just enable an AA shader file. I'm running Enhanced Water v2.0 HDMI, rather than Liquid Water. http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=23064
Yeah, that's the mod I used before I installed liquid water. But liquid water looks absolutely fantastic, imo. Also, how do I get additional effects like DOF, or godrays?

You just add the shader file name (make sure to include the extension) to shaderlist.txt, one shader file per line.

I can't find a shaderlist.txt
I can't find a shaderlist.txt
You need to make it yourself... Just read the wiki. http://obge.paradice-insight.us/wiki/Main_Page
