Breaking doors is something I want in this game. Fuck spells and lockpicks. Use your huge mace dammit.
Not possible with the cell system, unless you like tapping locks as a mechanic.
So apparently noone in the fallout thread is willing to help, they all seem to be distraced by pictures of random poses in New Vegas, and the Support site is down, so I'll ask here. I recently re-installed FO3, The game used to run smoothley on my last pc set with occasional crashes, but now It crashes every 2 minutes. I spent two hours without completing the tutorial because of it, It seems like something with GFWL, but I'm not sure. Anyone?
nobody in the fallout thread is helping me so I'll post in the elder scrolls thread instead
That's something I never liked about certain gmes. Illogical construction of buildings. Some people say,hHaving no first-person feet breaks immersion, but to me, walking into a house/town/ancient ruins that don't make sense on how people could live, break it for me. The Ayleid Ruins were cities of a sort. Yet in Oblivion they were just dungeons. Looked nothing like a place a race would live in. If you get what I mean.
My guess is that the cities were built overground (like normal cities) and thousands of years of non-use caused them to wear away until only those dungeons (which were probably meant to be tombs, with a few exceptions) were left. On a semi-related note, reading up on the lore concerning the liberation of the humans from the Ayleids... Apparently St. Alessia was boning a Winged Minotaur Demigod when she wasn't fucking shit up. Kinda squicky, eh? Also, Pelenal Whitestrake was fucking batshit insane.
nobody in the fallout thread is helping me so I'll post in the elder scrolls thread instead
Hey it's the same developer and people were discussing fallout a couple pages back
I hope we will be able to make tranquilizers with alchemy so we can have non lethal take downs. It would add a new spin to being a thief character. I'm not sure how it would work though, i guess apply it to an arrow.
I know this is from two pages back but frankly it's the only thing worth replying to in the last two pages. This would be a great mechanic to implement for both Thieves and Dark Brotherhood members. I think it would have to be a unique weapon like a blow dart or something (as an arrow would just be silly and not too logical). For thieves, its use is rather obvious. For Dark Brotherhood members though, it would best be used on those mission where you can only kill your target. So, using the dart you knock out a person and hide their bodies (or if you could booby trap the body, but that's something else entirely). It could work in dungeons, too... maybe even hunting if you're sadistic enough to knock out a deer bring it home and then beat it down or something. However, I think it would be a difficult device to use because it does not rightly make sense for a small dart to pierce through armor. Which would mean you could, probably, only use it on civilians and people who have a good chunk of flesh exposed (it may not be too much of a problem considering some of the armors I have seen to date). Just saying, it's a good idea.
I would wear that. would make a nice pijama hat
I just hope you could pour poison in a drink and give it to someone that drinks it and get affected by the poison. Heck, I hope you could hold your ale as a weapon that you drink when you "attack".

Non lethal take downs would be great, lets hope they have them in skyrim. If not, maybe a mod.
Guys, what's your favorite NPC in any TES game. Mine is the Kherjit outside of the door to Shivering Isles. "You can't see me, you can't see me, neither can he."

I hope we'll be able to be a God in Skyrim too. Also, maybe we'll be able to talk to Sheogorath, so basically our Oblivion self, in Skyrim.
Kherjit?
Yeah, you know how there's the guard and the cat woman/guy (can't tell which) outside of the door to shivering isles on the island?
Yeah, you know how there's the guard and the cat woman/guy (can't tell which) outside of the door to shivering isles on the island?
I think what he's trying to say is that it's spelled "Khajiit," not "Kherjit"
Yeah, you know how there's the guard and the cat woman/guy (can't tell which) outside of the door to shivering isles on the island?
I was being a grammar nazi my dear. Khajiit.
