Who is that
Some guy who is always on these shows about ancient aliens and shit -- they are so far fetched that it's comical.
Hey, guys I want to make a new character, but I want to keep my old saves (I'm like 30 hours in and I don't want to lose that shit.) So what do you guys do when you want to have multiple characters?

I know, but when I save and quicksave, won't it be annoying to tell the difference between the saves?

Edit: thought you meant same game progress but different class on single character; my bad
That doesn't really sound all that worth it.. Maybe I can back up my saves and move them into a folder named "Argonian" for my argonian character and another for like a "Nord" folder for my other saves, then I can alternate between them when convenient.
I'm going to assume they make an oblivion reference, seeing as the last time anybody has seen a dragon was when [sp]Martin was an idiot and broke the amulet, thus closing oblivion, but also making it easier for that world eating dragon motherfucker to get to skyrim.[/sp]
Just dis-agreeing about the part about [sp]martin being an idiot, it made sense because it summoned Akatosh(? correct me if i'm wrong there, it was that or martin turned into a dragon) who actually doesn't want to destroy the world of tamriel, not to mention it became a statue so what the fuck it didn't "make it easier for the "world eating dragon" to get to skyrim", basically no one knows why the dragons are back, it may be related but if it is it doesn't actually make sense.[/sp] but they will more than definitely make reference to the events that occured in oblivion, seeing as you are a dragonborn and the last dragonborn before you was martin (this doesn't have to be in spoilers because seriously, it should be generally known by now) I'll argue though that [sp]You wont become the new emperor because the only purpose the dragonborn served were to be able to wear the amulet of kings, which allowed the dragonfires to keep burning, seeing as it was destroyed there actually isn't any purpose for a "dragonborn" emporer, which is why the ending of oblivion was kind of silly. Unless i'm missing some important bit of lore which clearly states that ONLY DRAGONBORN can be emporers regardless of whether or not the amulet even exists[/sp]
As far as I know there is really no good way; you can use the console to open the race/class menus and stuff but it fucks up your skills and things.
Try saving when you're done creating the character, then load that save instead of exiting the character creator. You keep the skills and the character is changed.
-wrong thread what the fuck-
-wrong thread what the fuck-
I think you're in the wrong thread. Edit: Now this just seems stupid. >.>
Nothing I'd like to talk about. Be seeing you.
I know, but when I save and quicksave, won't it be annoying to tell the difference between the saves?
That's when you use the save command (savegame?) so you can name your saves after your characters, like:
save Mr_Fancypants
100% chameleon ruined my oblivion [editline]27th August 2011[/editline] what happens if you set a map marker in a plane of oblivion, and close the gate?
No weapon/armour degradation confirmed :(
In a way, I'm glad. It was a nice addition in Fallout 3, but it just became tedious after a while.
How do I trigger the vampire-cure quest? I'm already the highest 'rank' of vampire, but I see no quests. Help. Automerge.

The pact did not allow Alduin to break his godly duties by being anything but non-benevolent. Now the deal is broken and Akatosh can re-assume the role of Alduin, Time-eater, and invade Tamriel[/sp]
How do I trigger the vampire-cure quest? I'm already the highest 'rank' of vampire, but I see no quests. Help. Automerge.
the vampire cure quests totally blows so i suggest fixing your vampirism with a console command
In a way, I'm glad. It was a nice addition in Fallout 3, but it just became tedious after a while.
Agreed, repairing was pretty easy anyway.
[sp] The Amulet of kings is part of a pact made with Alduin/Akatosh to close the gates of the oblivion realms so long as the Septim bloodline stayed intact and in possession of the amulet and worship of the divines was widespread.
Okay thank you for clearing that up, Not really all that deep into the lore so I kind of feel out of the loop sometimes.
It's actually very well done the lore is. Hundreds of books on religion, races and history in Morrowind alone.
Try saving when you're done creating the character, then load that save instead of exiting the character creator. You keep the skills and the character is changed.
I think that's not possible. I can't save while I am in the Character creator.
I think that's not possible. I can't save while I am in the Character creator.
Gotta use the console.
That's when you use the save command (savegame?) so you can name your saves after your characters, like:
save Mr_Fancypants

Gotta use the console.
I used it, it said "you cannot save right now." in console.
I used it, it said "you cannot save right now." in console.

You need to have the console up and the escape menu open at the same time to save while in the edit mode. Took me a while to catch on to that; apparently the console overrides something.
Try this.
I think that's not possible. I can't save while I am in the Character creator.
after you write in showracemenu it's important that you keep the console open while you fix your character, if you do that you ca press escape and save normally and the changes to the character are there. But if you change race you do not gain the racial benefits
Try this.
Thanks. Edit: It worked, but it reset the amount of magicka I had. :(
In a way, I'm glad. It was a nice addition in Fallout 3, but it just became tedious after a while.
Addition to FO3? Didn't armor and weapons wear down in Oblivion as well?
