Since 4 days ago, I have not been reading any Skyrim info, or watching videos. Do the same, so you can be a bit surprised when you play in November.
no
Since 4 days ago, I have not been reading any Skyrim info, or watching videos. Do the same, so you can be a bit surprised when you play in November.
I tried to achieve this. It was soon proved impossible as the urge to read this thread was the same as the urge to fap after a day or two without it.
Dwemer Centurions, they were in Morrowind. They are basically high level mechanical monsters that roll around in a ball, but once they get sight on a target, they emerge from their orb and start fucking your day up. Allegedly, there are several new types now as well. And if I can recall correctly, when they emerge from the orb, they use the top part of it as the shield, then attack with a sword in the other open "arm".
So apparently the Dwemer were a very advanced race?

http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1225741-new-nerd-trek-qa-released/ Dem Pickpocketing perks Dem Marriage mechanics Dem Smiting perks Dem Guildmaster missions
They revealed the perks!? Oh god! What will the next be, more details about the storyline? Come on Bethesda! Don't leak your own game!
Apparently he likes to have an edgy companion [editline]29th August 2011[/editline] The day he axe her out will be glorious [editline]29th August 2011[/editline] Axe girlfriends are expert when dealing with morning woods if you know what I mean.
She do axe a lot of questions through. :v:
So apparently the Dwemer were a very advanced race?
they're the dwarves of the elderscrolls only they arent dwarves
I forget. Why did the Dwemer die out? I pretty sure it was explained in Morrowind but its been years since I last played that,
I forget. Why did the Dwemer die out? I pretty sure it was explained in Morrowind but its been years since I last played that,
They didn't die out, they were hidden, but I don't know why they hid themselves through.
They didn't die out, they were hidden, but I don't know why they hid themselves through.
Or they got transported due to hubris or something.

Nobody knows what REALLY happened to the Dwemer. They TRIED to enact a ritual in which they would strip themselves down to the most basic elements and reforge themselves into godlike beings, but we never get info on if the second thing worked. If it did, they probably ascended to a higher plane of existence so they won't be telling us. If it didn't, they're probably dead, so they won't be telling us.
They were a happy living race until some fucker came along, thinking he could make life even better and accidently activated some kind a teleporter, only a few dwarfs remained, with ONE telling people everything about his race n shit. EDIT: he actually didn't escape the teleport, apparently he died, becoming a ghost. Found this while looking up a map for Vivec (can't navigate that place for shit). The more you know.
Hehe finally decided to preorder despite my fears (lack of footage and news so close to release), but I can't seem to transfer funds to my checking (I dunno if my bank would charge some stupid fee if I didn't have enough in my checking, but had more than enough in my savings). Guess I gotta call the bank. Or not preorder.
"Lack of footage" What the fuck are you smoking man?
So besides the carefully guided videos by Beth and Tony, there's 12 second clips from PAX on youtube That's not a whole lot
Daedric Smithing Create Daedric armor and weapons at forges. Improve by double.
Well there goes the armor lore Hopefully you at least get demonic screams as you're making it :v:
Waits.
So besides the carefully guided videos by Beth and Tony, there's 12 second clips from PAX on youtube That's not a whole lot
They just released new footage, and they just released the whole SNEAK and SMITHING skill tree, among with some other facts about the game. Thats a lot for a game 2 months before release.
They just released new footage, and they just released the whole SNEAK and SMITHING skill tree, among with some other facts about the game. Thats a lot for a game 2 months before release.
What new footage? The 12 seconds of PAX stuff on youtube? That really shows next to nothing. And I'd rather see footage than have them tell us what it's like (especially if said footage is by some non-Bethesda person). Again go back and read all the stuff about radiant AI and Oblivion, and how much the final product wasn't like that at all. Todd could be the next Peter Molyneux, and that worries me (though I honestly feel like he just tells us what they had planned, rather than what was implemented, because he never actually plays the final thing). For a game this big we have seen very little. But again I was planning on preordering but my bank is dumb
I remember seeing a making of Skyrim trailer or something a few months back that had a Centurion in a modeling program. Thought they were confirmed forever ago.
In another trailer (might have been the quakecon leak actually) they were going through the spells menu, and one of the spell descriptions said something about it being ineffective against "undead, daedric and mechanical enemies" or something along those lines.
the whole marriage system seems cool, but I also hope you don't have to be married to an NPC to have them as a companion. Cos that would mean if I wanted say, a big ugly orc servant, well I'd rather not have to marry him first.

I wonder what other Dwemer characters we'll see. Maybe we'll enlist the help of some Dwemer that decided to come out of hiding to help Dovahkiin defeat Alduin? If I get a "Summon Animunculi (Centurion)" spell, I'm gonna cry.

I hope the effects for summoning spells are better. I always thought the "noise, summoned creature suddenly fades into veiw" was a bit weak, especially for skeletons. I want MY skeletons to claw their way out of the ground.
Well there goes the armor lore Hopefully you at least get demonic screams as you're making it :v:
you never know, maybe you have to soultrap a ton of souls for one item in the set, and need a really high conjuration level to bind them to the armor
