If I'm given the option I always go with being a Black/Redguard character in any video game, I'm usually the token black guy. I really like blaxploitation films and like to base my characters around the funk. Daym Straight.
I like to play female characters when I'm given the choice. I mean 90% of the time you're made to play a guy so why not mix it up? The one thing I've noticed though is that when you do play a female character as a guy EVERYONE assumes you're gay. Or more accurately "WTF, ur playin a gurl, wut r u a fag?" It's rather annoying.
Hate the logic in that. "I'll spend most of my time looking at a female character in the game. Clearly it makes me gay" Besides, sometimes the female option is just plain better. Compare Mass Effect voice actors for example.
i think it's homosexual, it would be like staring as a female in a play when you're a male.
Song for this page:
You should have acted. The Nexus is already here. The people told of their return. The new engine, was merely a delay. Of the time after Oblivion was modded. When the people of Skyrim would be modded. But noone wanted to believe. Believe it could happen. But when the truth finally dawns. It dawns in MODS! But. There is one they fear. In their tongue, it is IDK IDK2!
So, there you have it. My Nexus-inspired cover of the Skyrim theme. Everything in BOLD means I'm not sure, but you guys can suggest other improvements as well. If we/I can actually finish it, I will sing it (hopefully we can do a FP Singing collab, like 4chan did) and put it on YouTube. And maybe I'll do a Fresh Nerevarine of Seyda Neen.
i think it's homosexual, it would be like staring as a female in a play when you're a male.
Which isn't that homosexual if you think about it. The term implies attraction to the same gender and playing a role of the opposite gender has nothing to do with that. There is a difference in who you are and who you act as. If I play a mass murderer in a play it doesn't mean I actually want to kill people.
Garrett from the thief series has always been a favourite character of mine. I hope bows don't suck this time and I don't need an awful lot of mods to make them work proper.
i think it's homosexual, it would be like staring as a female in a play when you're a male.
If anything it's more transsexual then homosexual
Words cannot describe how hard my dick is this for this game.
You know, Skyrim might be a word for this. Lets just say Skyrim is also a adjective. "My dick is so skyrim."
I almost always play as male characters. I can only think of a few times when I've played as female characters when given the choice, one of them being Morrowind even though I've only played as an Argonian male seriously in Oblivion.

You have to prove you have a case of the not gays" Most of the time this logic really only works when talking about Republican Politicians bashing gay rights, and having them be (closet) gay themselves. Or the really really really flamboyant guys in high school that claim they sleep with women left and right In my opinion this isn't you being gay, it's just you trying to proving you have a case of the not gays. I think a real homosexual male would role play as a homosexual male

To be honest I usually answer it with "because" and ignore the person asking.

When people say "So I don't have to stare at a guy's ass" it makes me wonder if everything they look at is viewed sexually. Anyway saying that playing as female is gay makes no sense, however I guess people see it somewhat negatively because they assume you are a sad basement dweller that jacks off to the character, and if you think about it, in many cases they would be correct, I remember the Night Elf starting place in WoW at launch, it was full of semi-naked Night Elf females dancing in secluded places, pretty obvious what the players were doing (some even raged at you if you started jumping around them, angry because you ruined their fap).
If they weren't gays they would stare at their awesome manly beards and not their arses
You know, Skyrim might be a word for this. Lets just say Skyrim is also a adjective. "My dick is so skyrim."
Also works as a verb. "I'm going to Skyrim you silly all night long."
i think it's homosexual, it would be like staring as a female in a play when you're a male.
Wait hold on now. What if you play as a lesbian?
i think it's homosexual, it would be like staring as a female in a play when you're a male.
But that's not gay neither. I mean women in theatre were played by men until very recently. And come on, I've played females in plays, it's not that big of a deal.

I have no interest in the female body, the only time I'd play a female is if the female personality/character was pretty engaging. But this doesn't exist in a game where your character is just an extension of your own personality of who you roleplay as. This only works in games like Mass Effect where the game's main character is actually written character. Granted the reason I play as guys isn't because I get some kind of sexual thrill out of it, (though I'm pretty straight for a gay guy). I just relate to guys more than girls, so I play characters I can relate to on some level (as such, I play male characters). I imagine this is why most guys play guy characters, straight or gay.
Do people really zoom out to third person to stare at the characters ass? Or is that just some shit people say? I've never done that in any game i've ever played, seems fucking odd to me. If I do zoom out it's to look at how my armor looks on my characters, or my character in the environment, not to stare at its ass.
I go into 3rd person when walking around/talking to people and go into 1st when I'm fighting/aiming, I like to see my armor but I also like to be able to aim at things.
damn those pixels make a fine ass

people will either play a character they find attractive or one they can relate to, it's easy as that.
