I would have been happier if they included some more realistic repair system, now this is just dumb.
Repairing a blade or bow takes time, a 'realistic repair system' would get old fast.
In real life, armors and weapons get damaged during combat.

It would be pretty cool if they added in 2 factors for armor durability.
Current durability and Overall durability. Current durability would need to be above 0 to be able to wield a piece of armor, while overall durability determines how much damage the armor can take before you need to get a new piece of armor and how much does it protect.
So, for example, having an armor with current durability of 100 and overall durability of 50, would mean that it can take a lot of hits before you'd need to repair it, and that it would only reduce 50% of damage of the armor's base protection value.
While having an armor with current durability of 0 and overall durability of 80, would mean that the armor's too dismantled to be wielded, but the condition of it's parts is good and would reduce 80% of damage of the armor's base protection value.
It take some time to repair a weapon, plus the fact it woulld never be good as new. Eventually you will need to toss that unique blade away since it's slowly falling apart from all the dragon battles.
And Oblivion's style was silly too. Take a few hammers and somehow smash a sword back to new while sneaking in a dungeon. Don't forget, you are also on fire too, from the vampire attacking you.
Basiclly, make it too realistic, it gets annoying.
Make it like Obllivion or Fallout, it gets unimmersive and even more annoyng.

I at least hope they add a hunger system now that cooking and wives is confirmed.
I at least hope they add a hunger system now that food and wives is confirmed.
a hunger system in any video game usually tends to get annoying as FUCK
a hunger system in any video game usually tends to get annoying as FUCK
If you have been experimenting with alchemy in Oblivion, you would have picked up a lot of useless food. A hunger system makes all that useless food useful.
a hunger system in any video game usually tends to get annoying as FUCK
Not really. In STALKER all you have to do is kill a few bandits, and you're guaranteed to find food on one of their bodies. And since it's Skyrim, well, kill a wolf and eat it's raw meat, because you're a MAN. And if you're not - who cares, you're the dragonborn and shit. You can digest shit noone ever dreamt of.

Way to be over 5 years late!
If they add a hunger system, does that mean there is going to be a pooping system?

What the fuq. How would that even work? :v:
I might finally pre-order this game, just wondering if these specs could run it:
AMD Phenom X6
MSI 870A-G54
6GB Ram
Zotac GTX 460 se (Overclocked) - The bit I'm worried about, because it might not be good enough

Fuck you, it's good enough. I'm the one who should be worried with my HD4850.
Fuck you, it's good enough. I'm the one who should be worried with my HD4850.
Goddamn it's not even graphically that good, what makes you think 4850 won't run it unless you have like really big res.
Fuck you, it's good enough. I'm the one who should be worried with my HD4850.
It's designed to run on the 360, who's specs are so hilariously behind PC that you will be fine.
Fuck you, it's good enough. I'm the one who should be worried with my HD4850.
People told me the 460 se was shit, so I was like
what do
Because it was stupid. Plus it was corny as fuck the way they did it in Oblivion where it just plays a little sound and your shit is restored... It didn't even change appearance... lame.
I'm glad they removed that shit.
Just because the feature was stupid due to the way they did doesnt mean it should be removed from the game.
They should have improved it! But apparently they want to do something new on Skyrim
Which probably wasnt a good idea considering alot of fans, specially some hardcore ones, were expecting an Oblivion on dragon roids

The PC will get better graphics, why don't anyone remember anything from the leaked quake con footage!
Doesn't mean it will be well optimized.
I'm partly glad that the weapon and armour degredation is removed, it was just silly whacking a sword with a hammer to make it good as new, it was either a tedious and uninteresting bit of management or just something you do every 5 fights. It only really became an issue when running though Oblivion with daedra hitting you constantly. If item degredation was to be included, I would prefer it to only be restorable by either blacksmiths in towns for gold or by yourself at anvils and forges for free.
fucking love gametrailers
While I agree on Oblivion's degradation system being retarded, removing it entirely simply feels weird. Having to sharpen your sword/axe every once in a while, or taking your cuirass at a forge after a hardcore fight to fix the bumps and dents left by a dragon's bite would have been much more immersive.
I at least hope the corrode armor/weapon spell is kept.
I at least hope the corrode armor/weapon spell is kept.
How would that even work if weapons can't degrade? Unless it destroys the weapon outright.
How would that even work if weapons can't degrade? Unless it destroys the weapon outright.
I was thinking about using it to remove women's clothing, like you could in Oblivion with an over-powered custom spell. :v:
How would that even work if weapons can't degrade? Unless it destroys the weapon outright.
Which would kinda suck if used against the player: "OH NO FUCK SHIT THERE GOES MY FUCKING UMBRA OH GOD!"

A major part of my strategy in Morrowind is to corrode my opponants weapons so they have to attack me hand-to-hand at which I'm am superior.
