I really wish Bethesda would release the PC System Requirements.
I don't think the PC version is done yet, or else Bethesda wouldn't show off all the xbox crap.
My question is, why did they decide it was a great deal to knock off $0.45?
With that $0.45 you can buy a very cheap snack to enjoy while you play the game.
heres a snapshot of what its like in the uk
Its the same on Amazon.co.uk. This means other new games the Dead Island and Space Marine are also £27 if you buy them for the PC.
Amazon isn't very good at getting things on time though.
Given you save £12 compared to console versions, I don't care if its a day or so late.
I don't think the PC version is done yet, or else Bethesda wouldn't show off all the xbox crap.
Wrong. They almost definitely make it for PC first and then port it to Xbox, it's just easier to get a few Xboxes and chuck the game on to a disc and show it.
Given you save £12 compared to console versions, I don't care if its a day or so late.
I pre-ordered L.A. Noire with the 'on the day' delivery and it arrived 3 days late. Same with Force Unleashed

Can I marry my flying blue lizard companion?
no [editline]2nd September 2011[/editline] wow 2 days for free delivery that's such terrible value
Well, I would think that they would have the PC version done by now. They are just using the 360 version because all devs know it's easier to lug a console and a controller into a convention.
no [editline]2nd September 2011[/editline] wow 2 days for free delivery that's such terrible value
I mean even when you paid, which if you'd read my post after that, you'd know
Wow this thread went down the shitter.
http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/09/01/skyrim-preview/#more-71839 forgive me if I'm late on this, but FALMER CONFIRMED WHAT
I just read this article from stem to stern. Holy hell, crafting sounds awesome now.
Also in there is mining and crafting. Find a pickaxe and an ore vein and you’re away. Find a forge and you could, for instance, construct an Iron Shield from two leather strips (obtained by skinning creatures, then taking their hides to tanning stations) and four iron ingots. Or you could use a grindstone to improve your existing kit. For instance, tempering a longbow makes it more powerful. There will be a limit on how many times you can do this, however – this isn’t Two Worlds and its ludicrous infini-upgrade system. You’ll be able to improve Smithing in the same way you can improve other skills/perks – which will let you use better materials. For instance, upgrading something with glass will achieve far better things than upgrading it with poxy old iron. On top of this new crafting, old TS faves Enchantment and Alchemy return, in similar but updated forms.
I really want to master Smithing and Enchanting so I can create my own custom artifacts, but I'm also worried that will cut down on all the other perks I can have, too.
Hopefully getting a new computer before Skyrim releases. Congratulations me woo.
Trying to install the Morrowind Overhaul, but whenever I look at a face I get 9 FPS and for some reason everyone has lines as shadows. EDIT: Jesus Christ, this Jiub guy is ugly, but not THAT ugly. EDIT2: Oops, wrote Oblivion, meant Morrowind.
While you're at it, tone down the LoD as well.
Can I marry my flying blue lizard companion?
Yes.
I hope you can write books and notes in Skyrim, it will not be that useful, but you'll at least remember stuff better and it would make quills useful.
scrollscraft
Oh god, please don't make this happen!
scrollscraft
...Scrolls?
...Scrolls?
And then Bethesda went lawyer on Mojang's ass
...Scrolls?
Rolled up Parchment.
Speaking of Scrolls, you could enchant Pieces of Paper in Morrowind. That was basically Spellmaking in and of itself. Enchanting is also a skill now, like in Morrowind. So maybe, MAYBE we'll be able to use Parchment and stuff to make Scrolls with enchantment. Its basically a more balanced form of spellmaking. But don't read this post and think it will happen, because they might not do it. It would make parchment and other things actually useful though.
Okay, for those of you who were arguing about the PC version being finished or not, they're all in the same stages of development. It's not like Bethesda would make the console version and make the PC version separately, that would be like making two seperate games and be incredibly time consuming, and Innefficient. The reason they use the 360 version is because it looks amazing. So it's safe to assume the PC version looks even better. They want PC users to be pleasantly surprised and console users to not be disappointed. Also, it's much easier to set up and use a 360 for a floor demo than a PC.
When they show a preview of the game, they're pretty much done with creating it except they have to work out all of the bugs that are still there.
they have to work out all of the bugs that are still there.
nah, lets just skip this part
