I love Oblivion but you fanboys need to get some sense into your skulls, they could have done better on oblivion when a Wii game had it beat.
And you must also remember that I am strictly talking in terms of graphics, without influence from the amount of content.
In the end, though, it is all just a matter of perspective and opinion. Even if your opinion has a bias for shit, I'll respect it.

Dumbest thing I've heard in a long time.
I thought Oblivion looked great at the time, considering its genre. Linear first person shooters like Half Life 2 and Gears of War have a higher graphical standard because they only have to render a hallway, rather than an entire region. I'm sure they would have had stunning visuals if the entire game took place in the starting sewers, but you had to step outside sooner or later.
I play Oblivion vanilla (graphically, anyway) and I don't think that the visuals look bad at all. Not on par with today's standards, of course, but still not bad.

As a game Oblivion is of the best.
Oblivions graphics are great. Some of the characters faces look shit and so do some of the effect but I think the buildings and environments don't look all that bad even though it been 5 years.

I'm gonna be about about 6 pages and 3 days late but I hope that RPS journalist was exaggerating when he was talking about the falmer. I was really hoping for either an vital in depth part of the story if they returned or none at all, rather then making them another bit of colored meat to swing my axe at.

Well, Morrowind faces actually look believable, and not like potatoes, so I'll give it that, but I like how all NPC replies in Oblivion are voiced.
