How does Morrowind compare to Oblivion? Graphics aside, is it better or worse?
Ehh... It all depends on you. I like Morrowind a bit better.

It has its issues with quest management, movement speed, and combat. Definitely worth playing.

love you
I am pretty sure that Generic has been of FP since around 2006. The one he is using is just an alt.

I should have thought about alts, I'm not really used to people having them.
I wish they would include like a hardcore mode like in New Vegas. That honestly makes the game more immersive and fun.
you must drink your own urine and grow your beard thick to survive the freezing nights
Has anything been said about the role of the daedric princes in this game? I would be upset if there are no shrines or cults.
I think shrines are confirmed.
I didn't think shrines were specifically confirmed but they did say their will be quests to do with daedric princes so shrines are probably a safe bet.
Also finally pre-ordered today, can't wait for my art cards, steel case, notebook and map! :)

It's the best of the series.
But if you've played Oblivion before chances are you're going to hate it

honestly I think Morrowind looks better than Oblivion, mainly because Morrowind isn't the same god damn 2 trees copy pasted forever

If anyone enjoys the setting and the lore they will enjoy Morrowind.
As I am not part of the glorious PC gaming master race could anyone suggest whether to get this on the Xbox or PS3? Would there being anything different between the two versions?
The Xbox version is on the xbox, the PS3 version is not
So do you like your controllers symmetrical or no? How about your personal information? Mind that being stolen now and again? :v:
Hmm very good points :v: I think I'll change my PS3 pre-order.

I couldn't bear the combat and the way quests worked... sorry. I like the lore though.

This x2.
Oblivion spoiled me :c

The ps3 also have better specs than the xbox, meaning better graphic, but let's not start a console war in this thread considering how easily we keep getting off-topic.

I never really understood why people can't grasp the way the quests work.
because there's no quest marker?

Yup.
I really can't be bothered to look for hours like a fool, and neither can M'aiq...
M'aiq is glad he has a compass. Makes it easy to find things. Much better than wandering around like a fool.
to be honest when I play rpgs i want to be the one doing the thinking, thus why I always disliked oblivion because it had to think for you and i just found that boring

It's not really that hard, Quest givers give you detailed ways of gettin to your next objective. The rest is a 'jolly excursion' of minor adventures and shenanigans between you and your next quest objective.
You get lost and that still manages to be fun.

Christ everyone knows G-Monk has more alts than Notch's vacation count
Also G-Monk always has a hidden point or moral.

You have never played Daggerfall, have you?

Hardcore mod is fun at first but after a while it just gets in the way of my fun. I want to carry 20 weapons with 3000 5mm bullets and 100 missiles damnit!

I have and a lot. It's a great game but I still think Morrowind is better.
I haven't played arena though, but that game hardly seems to be elder scroll-esque anyway.

Arena is a piece of shit, don't bother with it.
Mouse lag n stuff.
BUT DAGGERFALL DUDE
I MEAN TITS WERE INLUDED WITH THE GAMe (penisses too but :v:)
I tried playing Daggerfall, I had mayor issues with how the combat worked. At first I didn't know how to attack, but when I first found it out, I kept missing a rat and got killed over and over by the first enemy.
From what i've seen you've kind of brought the dumbs upon yourself... personally I would be euphoric for you to stop congesting this thread.
You've mixed up cause and effect.

Each town should have a cartographer so you can pay them some gold to get a quest marker if you really can't figure it out.
There, best of both worlds.

I suppose that would work for certain quests, it would be odd however if the cartographer knew the exact location of a secret treasure or something along those lines
