The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim V5: But there is one they fear - Dragon porn!

That sounds interesting Zeke, but if you play as a female can't you just ask for directions?
But in skyrim it will be the best of both worlds. The Quest markers apparently only show up when you have somewhere really specific to go (and know that you have to). Unlike oblivion which just said find x and you got at quest marker telling you where. I hope that in skyrim, if you're supposed to look after an npc, you can ask other NPC's where that npc is.
I never really understood why people can't grasp the way the quests work.
because there's no quest marker?
For me it's the fact that quests aren't sorted in any way. Quests you started way back in the beginning of the game could be forgotten if you've started and completed other, easier quests, and the only way to remember that you started that particular quest is to go back 200+ pages in your journal to see if you've forgotten anything. In Oblivion, the "journal" is just a list of ACTIVE quests, with only the latest entry for each quest on display, so it's easier to see what quests you still have to do.
Has anything been said about the role of the daedric princes in this game? I would be upset if there are no shrines or cults.
I would very much think so.
An Elder Scrolls game without the Daedric Princes is like a Call of Duty game without guns.

The guns are DLC.
paid release day dlc
I've been thinkning.
How will they deal with the Post-game? If things turn out the way I think they are going the dragons are going to banished from Skyrim and we would have no dragons to fight in post, which would suck majorly since I would want to test out the OP shout that you will inevitably get from killing Alduin on his kin.
I wonder if it's that Time-eating thing Alduin does so well. The entirety of Skyrim become 6 years old again with one lone Redguard sitting in the thrones.
Just a heads up to anyone thinking of getting the Collecter's Edition.

Does it include the PC with fallout sticker and desk, or am I being needlessly optimistic?

And what about the house?
does it include the country that photo was taken in?
The guns are DLC.
dragonwarrior98 approves.

The box actually contains the Skyrim universe kinda like that Futurama episode. You just open the box and jump in.
I couldn't bear the combat and the way quests worked... sorry. I like the lore though.
The combat in Oblivion was lifeless though.. they just replaced completely missing with doing 1 damage.
So for anyone that has played on the 360. How does it hold up compared to oblivion? i always remembered it being very poorly optimized

I only got to play it for 15 minutes at PAX, but the frame rate seemed to drop significantly when going into certain areas. Specifically where it was snowing. Like 10fps or less slow. The slowness went away after a minute or two. I assume it was trying to load something.
I'm sure it wasn't the final build of the game so this info might be out of date now.

On Facebook they were bragging at how big the box was...
[sp]I think they were trying to justify the price further[/sp]
And then the comments being full of people thinking that the base game came in this. Along with one idiot who thought that the base game itself costs $150.
So... Here's hoping Skyrim's worth it's salt, as it's not being built on the idtech engine.
I kid, of course, but still. Would've been nice to have 120000x textures as an option.

There's your problem.
I think shrines are confirmed.
[sp]Sheogorath shrine will be interesting, seeing as the PC from Oblivion is now the Prince/Princess of Madness.[/sp]
[sp]Sheogorath shrine will be interesting, seeing as the PC from Oblivion is now the Prince/Princess of Madness.[/sp]
[sp]Oh shit how is that going to work? I assume it will make Sheogorath an Imperial, as that is the character that you are "supposed" to play as. That or Haskil or something[/sp]
[sp]Sheogorath shrine will be interesting, seeing as the PC from Oblivion is now the Prince/Princess of Madness.[/sp]
It's 200 years in the future, couldn't the role have been passed to someone else by then?

It is stated by Sheogorath in one of the Shivering Isles quests that the PC doesn't become a daedric prince. You are still a mortal.
I might be like 5 years late with this lol but I always thought it'd be cool to join one of the guard factions in the cities.
I always thought it'd be a cool little side questline, running and catching criminals or inspecting a certain cave that's been giving a city trouble or something.
Was there ever an oblivion mod for this?
Might be a stupid question but meh, I'd have fun with it. :v:
What's up with those liquified avatars?
That would be awesome Sgt Pepper.

Yeah, kind of like that first response mod for GTA IV.
And it would be a good use of the new engine, because of the random quest things.

Who wouldn't love running up to a person who tried moving a bowl three hours ago and then wake him up in his sleep shouting, "Stop right there criminal scum!".

Yeah, I was always under the impression that your position as stand-in-prince was only temporary and that Sheograth would come back sooner or later and want his shit back. After all, doesn't his whole realm go through a cycle of him dying/becoming jyglag and restarting?
