Can't wait for Eurogamer. Get to try it out for myself!
I really, really, really want to be happy for you, but I just can't. The jealousy is taking over :(
I really, really, really want to be happy for you, but I just can't. The jealousy is taking over :(
Played at PAX. Worst game of the year all years.
To be honest, the combat looks really bland. Slash, dodge, slash, dodge. I mean, they even hired the Dark Messiah guys to work on another game, why not let them work on Skyrim instead?
It looks like you swing your weapons in slow motion, just like in Oblivion
To be honest, the combat looks really bland. Slash, dodge, slash, dodge.
I can't speak for him but I want to see different stuff. The only monster summon we've seen so far, for instance, has been an Ice Atronarch. And while it looks cool, I want to know what the other summons are, and what they look like. I'd just like to see more stuff in general. If they keep us in the dark I think we'll just get overwhelmed when the game finally comes out.
Well, the only thing we haven't seen/know are the rest of Skyrim and not that much else. I mean, we almost know everything! What is left to know? Also, you've already seen a summon animation, why do you want more? Todd is trying to show as much of the game as possible without spoiling the whole experience.

Imo the Mount & Blade combat model should be standard issue in games set in medieval/fantasy settings.

What about using spells, or even adding in dragon shouts. That would make combat more variated. It is at least a bit better than Oblivion.
The best part was hearing Morrowind music in the third part.
Which day?
29th. Gonna try it out, hopefully every class thing, but I bet the queue is MASSIVE.

But the second comment... 'Count down to the good stuff' being MW3? I seriously want to punch that guy/girl in the face.

We need a dragron shout that covers people in tar and pitch. Then we can set them ON FYAH.
We need a dragron shout that covers people in tar and pitch. Then we can set them ON FYAH.
Why not directly setting them ON FYAH ? Except if you're expecting some nude mod to be released by the community and throwing the spell on naked chicks :v:

I don't care as long as its playable, really.
Got my tickets to eurogamer. I'm going to play the shit out of that (20?) minutes.
Got my tickets to eurogamer. I'm going to play the shit out of that (20?) minutes.
You can still watch other people play the game for as long as you like I believe. If you can, take video or screenshots. Sneak it if you must.

I love how they decided to make the whole game much more theatrical and living, compared to the two previous games. In morrowind and Oblivion, it just felt like a huge lifeless world where you were supposed to imagine what was happening. Here, you actually play a character in a world that keeps going with or without you. Needless to say, this is absolutely awesome. That one video of a dungeon where you have to examine a key to find symbols and turn a wheel to match them in order to open a door is just a perfect example of how the whole world went from a lifeless full size model to a world you can actually imagine yourself being into.

When I looked at some Skyrim gameplay today it felt like I was watching Morrowind footage. [editline]12th September 2011[/editline] Still hyped though

Now there is a thing in oblivion that proves this is not the case. When someone walks through a door to a shop or a building or whatever. It doesn't matter if you walk in 2 or 5 minutes later, he will still be at the very beginning of the doorway and only after you are in the cell will he begin moving to his destination again. I can only hope this is fixed with skyrim

As far as we could see they actually worked on the AI and the way it acts. I don't really care personally about villages and people living in it - the wilderness in itself looks alive.
I don't think i've seen so many deleted posts in one page before.
NO SPEARS??!
