I swear, if the children are anything like the kids from Fallout 3, I'm going to shoot myself and anyone else around me. They were so god damn annoying. A cave full of asshole kids who don't age and do nothing but throw smartass insults at you is sure to drive the player mad.
I'm guessing the majority of kids in Skyrim won't be like the ones in Fallout 3. The kids in Fallout 3 (mainly in Little Lamplight) were so annoying because they were raised without parents/have horrible parents and most grew up to dislike "mungos."
So unless all the kids in Skyrim are holed up in some big complex cavern because their drunk Nordic parents threw them out the window and is governed by a 10-year-old prick wearing an over-sized helmet, I doubt they will be anything like the ones in Fallout. I'm sure we'll meet some annoying kids, though.
Y'know what I liked with fallout 3's kids ?
Being able to indirectly kill some of them. Like that brat in Rivet City you could send in the wasteland so he can die alone, that girl you can give to slavers and that annoying whiny bitch at Grayditch by letting him rot in his pulowski shelter.
And all the kids in Megaton, too.
Sort of retarded if you really cant have an argonian wife.
If not, im going to play a bosmer.

gay argonian - imperial couple
Not being able to marry argonians makes sense to me. I really doubt proper marriage is part of Argonians' culture, same for Khajiits.

Well, who would marry a man with either a dick that stabs you and leaves you in such pain he have to bite your neck or a tiny dick that have to be squeezed out of a tiny hole.

That or two dicks. Both would be incredibly awkward though.
Another reason for a non-beastal race not to marry a beastal race could be because the mayor difference in genes making it impossible or less likely to get children/kittens. Through, this is real-life science that could probably be replaced by TES lore.

Making babies is not a requirement for marriage
We also know interracial marriage is possible (hence that imperial in Anvil who's married to a female wood elf). But beast/"human" race marriage seems really unlikely.
this is a dumb discussion
Yeah let's change the topic of discussion.
I want children in the game so I can murder their parents and breed tons of medieval batman clones all around !
Making babies is not a requirement for marriage
Not by our standards, but TES is set in the kind of world where it is a key point.

Yes, BUT...you can play as a Beast race and the marriage options won't care that you are. At least thats what Pete Hines said.
If you wan't to know the inner workings of lizard dick and reproduction go ask the Dragon Megathread, not here.
You're the dragonborn, you could be a one-legged freak with five pairs of eyes, spikes coming out of your buttcheeks, unable to speak without spitting blood and pooping turds that set themselves on fire when they touch the ground, people would still love you.
Wait, is the "unable to marry argonians" thing confirmed or just speculation?
Because I wanted to marry a fine argonian lady, dammit!
They said you couldn't marry everyone and also said some races won't even be available for marriage. By "some races" they probably meant Khajiits and Argonians because they're pretty much the only species that isn't concerned by marriage so far.
If you want to marry an argonian lady (even though they look like old snakes now, which I like though because it's much more realistic than in Oblivion) you can still use a mod, 'cause there will be a mod for that pretty much the day following the release of the SDK.
My guess is that there's only a few scripted NPCs you can marry.
It will be like the Companions from Fallout 3 and NV.
For example there might be an Argonian woman option, but since she is scripted, she may not be likeable. Like she may be a member of the Dark Brotherhood and marry you if you kill enough dudes.
Of course that will make marriage options diverse and interesting, but have less freedom for the player. I don't know how to feel on it right now to be honest.
Do you want to choose any old female you want or do you want interesting fleshed out marriage options? Thats basically what it boils down to.
EDIT:
Also, Pete Hines said there were "A lot" of options but we don't know how many a "Lot" is. They'd have to have twenty options just to cover each race and sex, and that could be considered "A lot"

Hopefully. My [del]massive fetish for lizard women[/del] academic interest in interspecies relationships can't let this go unpunished.
Also, 3rd person only while on horses? What? Why?
Because it's a pain in the ass to control horses in first person.
Also it's not important.
Also, 3rd person only while on horses? What? Why?
Because lolconsole.
It won't bother me that much to be honest. And as with most things, there will be a mod for it anyways.
Because it's a pain in the ass to control horses in first person.
No, not really.
Also it's not important.
It is if you don't like third person view, or at least want to toggle it whenever you feel. There's really no reason not to have it.
You can walk too.
You know, if there's one thing that i'm glad about is that you will actually be able to switch between 1st person and 3rd person in Skyrim, not on horses that is.
Personally, i disliked having to see the animation when you swing your melee weapon in first person.
Because lolconsole.
What, a console can't process "Watch this shit in first person" and "Be on a horse" at the same time?
Gee, I was not aware thata PS3 had the same capabilities as a NES.
Because it's a pain in the ass to control horses in first person.

1. Not it isn't. There's no difference between controlling the horse in third or first person other than perspective.
2. Yes it is if you find first-person perspectives more immersive.

You could switch between first and third person in Oblivion.
Imperials weren't even part of the series until Morrowind. Orcs weren't playable until Morrowind either, but I guess that's a bit different.
Why do people want to see more regression all of the sudden? We already lost Mysticism
What? Imperials have at least existed since Redguard.
You could switch between first and third person in Oblivion.
Oh, sorry.
It's been about 2-3 years since i last played Oblivion, so i guess i forgot.
