This is why they should include various minigames according to the difficulty of the lock.
Very easy : splinter cell like game where you just mash W/S/A/D until it unlocks
Easy/Medium : fo3 like minigame
Hard/Very hard : oblivion like minigame
I would rather want Hard/Very Hard to be like Thi3f or something

For some reason lockpicking doesn't work for me in thief... it's just glitched.
I guess it's an incompatibility with Windows 7, but I have no idea.

I have Windows 7, and it works fine for me. Though I am one of those lucky people where computers just work for me. Some people appear to have problems with minecraft not getting a steam overlay, for instance. I just get it by luck :v:
But yeah, that lock-picking is like a more 3d version of FO3's
Awesome :v:

Only time Minecraft has a Steam Overlay is when you use 32-bit Java, which isn't recommended because you get shitty performance.

At least on a 64-bit computer.
At least on a 64-bit computer.
Shitty performance no matter what, in my experience.
I wouldn't dare attempt to run Minecraft with less than 4GB of RAM w/o 64-bit java installed.
Crashed all of the computers in my school whenever I tried to run it.
I just found proof that you can marry Argonians. After Pete said all races weren't represented I figured they'd shaft the furries. Ugh, bad choice of words.
Anyways, here's proof that you can marry at least one Argonian, so lonely Argonian players need not fret!
I never said they did.
However, now that you mention it, they are EXTREMELY IMPORTANT for immersion in an RPG.
Having the graphics look exactly the same as 10 year old hardware on a modern 2011 PC is unacceptable.
Even if it looks fucking amazing on consoles?
Only time Minecraft has a Steam Overlay is when you use 32-bit Java, which isn't recommended because you get shitty performance.
Not shitty performance, it just eats as much ram as possible and then crashes.
Even if it looks fucking amazing on consoles?
Impossible, no game looks "fucking amazing" on a current-generation console.

So, no performance :v:
So there was apparently several new screenshots in the XBox magazine released this month. Are there any links to the pictures?

Have you seen Crysis 2
or pretty much every skyrim shot so far
Impossible, no game looks "fucking amazing" on a current-generation console.
I thought Heavy Rain and Killzone 2 and 3 looked quite "fucking amazing" IMO
Have you seen Crysis 2
Yes, have you?

For a console game, sure, but it doesn't stand up to what a PC can do.
Impossible, no game looks "fucking amazing" on a current-generation console.
Looking good is about more than polycount and texture resolution.
Damn it! I've been invited to a birthday party the day this comes out. DAMN YOU SOCIAL LIFE.
Kill the party host so that you don't have to go.
In the viking outfit.
But real girls can't dragon shout or dual wield, and most of them don't have beards.
and in real life you can't dragon shout and there are no dragons :)
Impossible, no game looks "fucking amazing" on a current-generation console.
And all your credibility goes down the fucking drain.
Stop being a PC gaming elitist, maybe play a console game for yourself (preferably one that came out sometime within the last year), and then come back and say no console game can look Fucking Amazing.
I'm a massive PC gaming nerd. I own a 30 inch 2560 by 1600 resolution monitor FFS.
And I think Skyrim looks amazing on the 360 and considering that Oblivion was also on the 360, I'm shocked and awed that they got a game that looks that good to work on a console.
I can't wait to see what it looks like on my PC.
what's up with you guys and assuming that your choice of platform is intrinsically better than everybody else's
what's up with you guys and assuming that your choice of platform is intrinsically better than everybody else's
I don't want to sound like a fanboy here but the PC version is going to be a straight upgrade compared to the other console versions. Much like with every other Bethesda game.
I can't wait to see what it looks like on my PC.
its going to look 'nearly identical'

who's saying anything like that at all?
And all your credibility goes down the fucking drain.
cool story.

Already did, no console game can look fucking amazing.
Console hardware simply isn't capable of producing amazing graphics.
its going to look 'nearly identical'
That quote came out of nowhere.
Pete's exact words for Skyrim's PC version were "If you have a high end gaming PC, Skyrim will melt your face"
So that sounds a helluva lot better than "Nearly identical"
Also I will have a much better resolution.
That quote came out of nowhere.
Lie. It came out of somewhere.

I do hope it's a misquote though, I truly do.

Honestly I doubt the pc version will look much better than the xbox version besides maybe better shadows and anti aliasing.
And it definitely won't be melting any faces, considering the xbox version looks pretty much exactly like oblivion with some nicer effects.
Don't get me wrong i'm super stoked for skyrim and its gonna be amazing, but the graphics aren't anything special from what we've seen.

Its probably a misquote. Petes EXACT WORDS on Twitter were that the PC version will melt your face on a high end rig.
After the misinformation from this interview I decided to just go by Pete's twitter:
http://nerdtrek.com/skyrim-answers-bethesda/
EDIT:
After checking his Twitter (I check it almost every day now) I saw nothing implying the PC version and console version will be nearly identical. I know there won't be a HUGE difference but the textures will hopefully be a lot better in Skyrim's PC version. Oh, and fader distances and LODs. Oh, and FPS rates.
However, now that you mention it, they are EXTREMELY IMPORTANT for immersion in an RPG.
Wow, if you think graphics are extremely important, you must not have played many RPGs.
