oh no what did i start?
also is the legion still in control of Skyrim or is the empire like really dead?
There are one last blade left that will help you throughout the game.
Also, why did some people randomly start a shitstorm about ratings. I thought we were adult Facepunch users.
Who rates posts like this as late? Really?
He's answering a question.. then again you also rated tuna late. Nobody uses the rating properly!
Rated you late. :colbert:
:v:
I don't really like playing as the beast races, but for some reason with NPCs I tend to favour them. I dunno maybe I just like the underdogs.
I'm still going to continue my little Elder Scrolls story with the decendant of my Oblivion character both called "Milos".
One thing I havent thought about in Skyrim: Vampires
I am scared shitless of having to do a fairly long quest to restore my humanity or elvenality. (cant think of the next one beastinality?)
I'm going to continue to hilarious adventures of Gary The Orc.
Inappropriately punching people in the face and achieving nothing since birth.

His parents sure are proud.
I hope poisons are as comically effective in Skyrim as there were in Oblivion.
"What's the matter? Getting tir- AHUAGH!"
Limp death.

Well there are werewolves in the game.

That just reminded me, while playing through oblivion again recently, that mage that gives you quests at the arcane university says "While we try to hold mages to a higher standard, they are only human". Erm unless they're one of the other races. Damn imperial dogs.
My character shall be once again Màimes McGibberfuck, the average Nord warrior.
So his life is entirely dedicated to boning ladies of all species, drinking enough alcohol to leave the tavern dry, and fucking shit up with blades, axes and bare hands. In his dictionary, "Diplomacy" has long ago been replaced with "War hammer to the skull".
SKYRIM - MAN MODE

Skyrim's Equivalent of Geralt of Rivia.
at least my Geralt was like that.
Well i think I'll call my character Jerry again.
The nice Sword mage which is always polite and accepts every quest ...
i just cant play the evil guy. i cant even steal something without feeling bad. :smith:

Not even when you're stealing from the Mage Guild or some Dark Elf?
The Mage Guild had so many potions and spells in it in some certain city in Oblivion, and Dark Elves are a bunch of assholes.
think i should post Eurogamer demo thoughts
played using 360
guards say "stop right there" but i didnt hear any criminal scup
lokpicking is kinda odd, its gone fallout style but theres two things poking into the keyhole instead of one. you move one around till it allows easy movement of another
the stealth icon (eye thing that replaces crosshair) has been improved. begins as a flat line, as enemies begin to realise where you are it starts to open.
no dragons in the demo sadly, or dragon shouts
the atmosphere created is amazing, both seeing and hearing a snowstorm as you climb mountains is perfectly done
reading books increases your skills again
water is far improved
theres no more glitchy walking up the side of a mountain like in oblivion
no hint towards the story was given in the demo, however it seems the dragons are seen as a bit of a myth at the start, some NPC's say they saw one whilst others refuse to believe and call them crazy
killed a roaming friendly hunters dog....hunter was not pleased
all items can be viewed and rotated in the menu with brilliant detail
found a fireplace with cooking pot hanging above it, when using the pot it gave me an alchemy type menu with requirements needed to make food such as bread and soup
the character creator is massively improved over oblivion, options for facepaint on all races with a multitude of colours is a good addition
on the first loading screen there was a quote from the dark brotherhood referring to the night mother
the way the map works is a nice touch but i couldnt help but think it was far smaller than oblivion
enemies can be left to your mercy if their the last left in their group/taken enough damage, physically kneeling down and begging to be spared
no 2 people sounded alike
spriggans are really annoying
giants are bloody powerfull
theres a run button this time, you cant run whilst stealthing you can still jump whilst stealthing though
pickpocketing seems to work the same as fallout
argonians have a unique racial spell which lets them rapidly recover health over a short time
mudcrabs are slightly bigger and look marginally more menacing
think thats all
if any of this is late then im sorry, havent been following details as announced
Unfortunatly I dont think you can rerate stuff. I tried to change it to infrormative but it didnt change.
You can re-rate posts, just refresh the page.
Call my guy gaston like last time
...Because no one fights like gaston..no one fucks with gaston.
Make an Argonian, win drinking contest.
Because argonians are resistant to poison.

That's great news, means we can probably just ignore the main quest entirely.
That's great news, means we can probably just ignore the main quest entirely.
Well you've always been able to do that, but the reason there were no hints towards the story in the demo is because, much like dragons and shouts, Bethesda removed them.

Well, Oblivion kinda made it hard to ignore the main quest what with the whole "Emperor gives you the Amulet and tells you to find Jauffre before getting stabbed". Kinda puts too much of a sense of urgency in the MQ.
enemies can be left to your mercy if their the last left in their group/taken enough damage, physically kneeling down and begging to be spared
So, what do they do after that? Run away? Or can you force them to be your companion?
So, what do they do after that? Run away? Or can you force them to be your companion?
I would imagine they would run away, but maybe once they regain their health or composure they may go after you again. Possibly.
Played Skyrim at Eurogamer yesterday. It's awesome albeit a few graphical glitches.
I just now got the thread title, that Dragon Porn rhymes with Dragon Born.
...
I am not a very smart man.
Played Skyrim at Eurogamer yesterday. It's awesome albeit a few graphical glitches.
Fuck you, how good is it ?
It's fucking awesome, but we played it on Xbox's which weren't exactly amazing to play the game down, occasional pop ins and slow downs and other hardware related glitches. Still looked fucking amazing. Combat is top notch too. Really, the PC version is the only way to go with this game it seems.
Did anybody who played it test out the 3rdperson jumping animations?
Still haven't seen them...
the 3rd person animations are far improved, 3rd person no longer seems like an afterthought
also the only graphical glitch i was when getting on (stealing) a horse from the village in 3rd person it went transparent because the camera was up close and the horse was running full speed at a wall.....so going nowhere. all the people watching saw was this naked lizard riding an invisible horse for about 15 seconds (when it finally got out the stables) before it materialised.
on a side note the spawning area of the demo appeared to be the exit of the "dungeon" seen in revent videos (the one witht he developer talking and the boss that summons the frost construct)
default name is "prisoner1"
I doubt I will ever use a horse, maybe if there's another unique one like Shadowmere but otherwise, no. I also doubt that I will ever dual wield swords, daggers if I'm a stealth character perhaps, but not swords. Dual swordsmanship is usually attributed to acrobatics and agility but in Skyrim, since you can't block or parry while dual wielding it seems to be more attributed to tanks, and when I'm a tank I use two handed weapons. I'm very excited about the magic system though, I used to only use conjuration, I never cared much for magic other than summoning. Now, though, it actually seems viable to me. Still not sure what I'm going to play as and to be honest I probably won't know until I'm making my character.
