So I guess everyone remembers this? :v:
This is why I think things like the family of a dead NPC giving you the quest instead, are not going to be in there like they say. I bet at least 99% of quests wont have such a feature.
He said the areas in the mountain when it was snowing wasn't done by any mappers and that the weather system itself had snow go there. Again, seems pretty obvious that's BS, I just want to know why Todd says these completely false things?
I just read a swedish game magazine, a guy got 3 hour playtime with it and he says that snow moved when the wind was heavy. I'm pretty sure the snow IS dynamic.

Also has there been any pictures of northern lights and a skimpy-clad female breton yet? Cuz if not, then I'm holding ~new pictures.

Neat, Tigh from BSG and the bad guy from Minority Report (just realized he was the narrator in the trailer too)
I personally HATE watching game demos from before they were released. The game was always better as shown in the demo. It's like concept art.
I mean, just out of frustration, I'm going to list ALL the things in this video that are better than in the final game:
- The demo is played on the PC! How about that. "PCs are hard to play on stage" my ass.
- It's probably just the low video quality, but the graphics seem to look a lot better in this video than in the final game. I think it's not only because the video is slightly darker, it also has better shadows.
- The voice acting was much better.
- The conversations were personalized.
- Dat Dark Elf voice.
- Getting a new topic actually required you to listen to the entire conversation.
- The Legion actually protects every Imperial city, like they should. I sometimes wonder at what point in development they thought "Hey, let's have the Imperial Legion ONLY in the Imperial City! Yeah! That makes sense!" I mean, giving the city's guards personalized Legion armor or something, okay, but...
- Dynamic conversation based on time and place.
[*]What would the Demand button in Persuasion have done? That wasn't in the final game, was it?
- You can keep someone company...
- Radiant AI! I think everyone has already said enough on this.
- Actual inter-NPC reactions!
- SUTCH!
- Oddly, I don't remember anyone complaining about potato faces back then.
All in all, Oblivion always gets me in my nit-picking mood.
The worst this demo does is remind me how lame the Skyrim demo is, comparatively speaking.
I've heard others say the same

Never really heard of any of them, however it's looking promising that they wont waste a load of money on a big name actor who dies 10 minutes in or barely appears in the game
skimpy-clad female breton
what are you waiting for

How does Todd have the guts to lie like this? Pretty much EVERYTHING he says in this video is complete and utter bullshit
Makes me wonder how much of the Skyrim features are actually in the game.
oh guys idk the american time buts its 27th here so the new book just came out

I think they intended them to be included in the game but had to be cut due to time constraints or some excuse

I don't know you and I don't care to know you.
Bethesda had to disable the radiant AI mostly because it worked and it worked bit too well. Like for example people would actually go out and grow/buy their food if they were hungry. The problem is what happens when they run out of food on stores. The people with no food would be going around killing people who have food, prisoner guards for example couldn't really go to stores so when they ran out of food they went into the cells and killed the prisoners to get food.
It must have been fucking awesome but if you wanted a proper game then yeah..

Thats why I stick my head in the sand when I hear Skyrim, so I won't be disapointed.

I'm guessing throwing around the word 'Radiant' to make your game sound fancier is the thing to do.

I may be late but does this look like a pauldron to anyone else?

The only thing I'm a bit affraid of in Skyrim so far is the AI. In one of the videos you can see the dev sneaking behind two enemies backs, and shooting an arrow in one's neck. He dies, and the other just goes into hostile mode and stays right where he is for three solid seconds before the dev finally kills him as well.
Any single living thing ever would have stayed still for about half a second then promptly ran the fuck away, especially when the guy is hit by an arrow, aka coming from an easy to determine general direction.
While it doesn't look like the best, i'd rather have that instead of insta-stoprightthereisawwhatudid. It makes for a horrible stealth experience.

Maybe the guy was shocked by it, like "WHAT WAS THAT", because you know, you'd never expect that on a dark dungeon.
Or maybe you would.

You usually step back and maybe stagger when something like that happens right next to you.

And I love how they're making a big deal out of Lynda Carter (wonderwoman) voicing a Nord, when she voiced all of the nord/orc females in Oblivion.

Hey, hey, where are all the British voice actors? I know it was the same with Oblivion, but American voices just sort of kill the mood when it comes to medieval games. Especially when you hear some Texan accent coming from a peasant.

It doesn't even look bad, but experiences from players say that the stealth experience is way, way better than it looks in the video.
