Doesn't the date indicate when the issue will be available to the public? If you subscribe, you get the issue earlier, no?
Yeah, but only about a week earlier.
A few rules that I'm going to play by in Skyrim... 1.) No running from a fight with a dragon. Even if that means I have to hide and throw spells at it or punch it to death, I will not run from a dragon. 2.) My general moral standing will be good, but when in need I will do "bad" things. Such as, stealing if I absolutely need to, doing bad deeds for a good cause, etc. 3.) I will be a loyalist, devoting myself to the cause I most see fit and destroying any who appose it. 4.) Generally I'll be a loner, only taking on followers if I absolutely need to. (if the story requires it, or if what I'm doing is particularly hard.) 5.) I'm going to be as realistic as I can with items, carrying a believable amount, only taking what I need from chests and corpses, preferably smithing my own weapons and armor, etc. That's all I've got so far, I'm sure I'll come up with more, and probably throw some out over the time between now and the release. :v:
6.) Disable the HUD by setting the opacity to 0
7.) Every few in-game weeks, travel to the exact same village, take off all your clothes except your helmet, break into someone's house, and watch them sleep for a few in-game hours. Then go back outside and resume your everyday life.

I'm going to play the game as it goes along and not set rules for myself. Only rule I ever really have is "Don't go on killing spree unless you already saved right before."
I have a feeling I'm missing a reference here...
it's a reference to real life
it's a reference to real life
So that's why it sounded so familiar!
The only rules I'm setting for my playthrough: 1) You are a nord 2) You are an Empire loyalist If I can't be an empire loyalist, I'm ragequitting (also if I can only be one, because it's no fun being totally loyal to someone you can't even betray)
The only rules I'm setting for my playthrough: 1) You are a nord 2) You are an Empire loyalist If I can't be an empire loyalist, I'm ragequitting (also if I can only be one, because it's no fun being totally loyal to someone you can't even betray)
yeah, it'd suck if we couldn't choose which side to support.
My rules.... 1) Being a Khajiit 2) Steal milk from everyone 3) Fishing will be 25% of my daily activities. 4) Holocaust against Wood Elves. 5) If yarn/fabric exists. I'm stealing it, and making a giant pile of it somewhere, and jumping into it. 6) While doing number five, I will wait till six in the morning with a bowl at someones bedside before jumping on top of their face and waiting for them to wake up. 7) Only use claws and daggers 8) I will marry atleast three women, and kill two of them for having an affair with the dragons. Then I'll kill the dragons.
Rules are: 1. Huge Beard 2. Fuck shit up (for the dragons) 3. Nord 4. Huge Beard 5. Marry at least 4 women 6. Karma fag 7. Huge Beard Did I mention me getting a Huge beard?
Fuck rules, i'm just going to do whatever i want. Except for doing bad things, i dunno, but doing bad things in video games like ME2 just makes me feel bad, i guess.
Personal rules for me: Chaotic good Nord warrior. Fighting to protect the innocents, and having fun doing so. I'll mostly use swords and shield, but here's the twist: when nobody is looking, I'll practice with shock spells. If some friends or allies are here, I'll just go melee. If there are lots of enemies who could escape the battle and tell someone I am secretly also a lightning mage, I won't make a single spark. I'll level it up when alone in the woods, or finishing off the last one in a group of bandits, stuff like that. Why? Because if I ever meet a boss enemy who thinks he's hot shit because he has a lot of sword-proof armor or has magic that protects him against physical attacks, then... The fuckers will never see this coming.
orc all up in this bitch

I really hope that after the dark brotherhood quests they have in skyrim they give you more stuff to do. Also just got a new video card. Haven't gotten a new one in about 5 years. Also 4 day weekend on skyrim weekend. Fuck yah.
One thing I'm worried about is dragons just killing you out of nowhere. I atleast want a roar and a huge shadow passing over me before I get crushed/roasted/clawed/eaten/pushed off a mountain/picked up and dropped/frozen/lightninged/deaded someother way.

Suddenly, you see yourself zooming through the air, the air making your eyes tear. You look up, the dragon has you in his grasp as he suddenly throws you further into the sky. Looking down, the dragon has his mouth ready. BOSHWAAAAA Your shout knocks the dragon back as he grabs you once more. ~Dragon sky battle~
Shame that Skyrim doesn't have an arena, with the new combat system, finishing animations and all.
Shame that Skyrim doesn't have an arena, with the new combat system, finishing animations and all.
mods will sort that out
Shame that Skyrim doesn't have an arena, with the new combat system, finishing animations and all.
Just cause they didn't announce it doesn't mean it isn't there.
Another thing I'm worried about is basically Hotkeys/Quickswapping/That sort of things. if I want to cast a fireball, and then swap over to ice or something, do I have to pause, navigate those menus, select the ice, resume the game, then cast it, Or can I just assign certain spells to my number keys and hit them on the fly to swap to them? I'd rather hit a button and cast what I have mapped to it, like an MMO, but I'd be happy with the same system as Oblivion, if it expanded somewhat. I just saw no option in any footage or features so this has me a bit worried
Precisely. Hell, there might even be a secret underground guild for illegal dueling.
Fighters guild charter: #1 You do not talk about the fighters guild. #2 You do not talk about the fighters guild.
Just cause they didn't announce it doesn't mean it isn't there.
pretty sure i read somewhere that they confirmed that there was no arena [editline]28th September 2011[/editline] oh, lookie. http://twitter.com/#!/DCDeacon/status/119030348725227521

I wonder if Umbra (the sword) will return in Skyrim and if yes, in what form.
I'm playing Oblivion, I'm not big into 'roleplaying', but I really want to come up with some justifiable reason I could be head of every guild in Cyrodiil, a daedric prince, a holy knight, and god knows what else without it feeling stupid. I was just gonna stop the quests so I was a high rank and not head of them, but then I miss out on a lot of cool rewards.
You can Pre-Order The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for $45.99 +5% off for facebook fans at UltimatumGames.net
Holy hell that's cheaper than I expected. I thought the game would be worth around $60. Mind you that's pre-order.
