"There are limitations as well. Too bad if we throw a ball of fire, ice does not melt. What we said, limits imposed by current technology. " That's a bit disappointing... I don't see how that's a limitation though, it doesn't seem too complicated to do... :/
It's easy to do, but hard to do in an elaborate and awesome way. Like dynamic melting ice is possible, hell, there's a whole system for that sort of thing in one of the Star Wars games (I think Force Unleashed - the system is DMM, Digital Molecular Matter or something like that) and also Red Faction: Guerrilla. But it can't realistically be applied to absolutely everything. So you end up with the whole "I can break this plank but not that plank" issue and it feels gimmicky and ultimately frustrating. I'd still love it to be there, sort of as a modder's resource or something. I'd love to make a nice little village of completely breakable homes. And people.

Well, Bioshock had something like this. And its engine isn't top notch really.
Well, Bioshock had something like this. And its engine isn't top notch really.
Yeah, I think this might be either laziness, or it isn't possible to do properly on console hardware. Sure it was possibly in Bioshock, but you said it yourself, it's engine isn't top notch, it would probably be done better on the Creation engine. Weiss has a point, but I'm talking purely the ice melting part, destructible environments would be nice but that isn't really expected on such a large landscape.
This makes me wonder... would it really be farfetched for people to use child soldiers in the Fallout setting?
I didn't know ghillie suits, combat fatigues, body armor, combat boots, sniper rifles (VSS? SVD?), army knives, grenades and Magazines came in 12-year old girl sizes. Never mind that those shotgun shells are an impossibly small gauge. Oh, and about your child soldier theory. Look at the New Vegas legion, Ranger andy lost use of his leg due to a suicidal child bomber with a frag grenade, they also train children from a young age to become legionaires. As for other factions such as raiders and feral tribes they might use them as distractions or front line meat shields. But you would never see covert child operatives. It just doesn't happen.

Different engine you see. And if they do manage to port things over the models and textures that they made for a potato faces world wont fit in with the beautiful world that we have already seen where the women are women and the rugged men are rugged.

AS BAD . . . as potato head people? swords, staffs, axes and armour will always look pretty cool ((as long as they include more than one magic staff model))
The prime thing to remember is that the body replacers and face changers were made since they weren't satisfied with the potato face-age, those, dare I call them, improvements wouldn't be ported or made if there is nothing to improve.
with all the naked-anime-cat-people mods available right now on the nexus.. i'm scared for skyrim.. oh god, how much worse will it be!
guys I have a wonderful idea to protect skyrim from the evil of the nexus, I know nobody's probably ever tried it before but it just might work don't install the shit mods
I can't wait to marry a dragon, Speaking of which I kinda hope we can turn into a dragon/werewolf and wreck up stuff...Had so much fun with Bloodmoon
So someone on the Bethesda forums is talking about how this "Children of the Wastes" mod made children in Fallout 3 so much better. The fact that his avatar is a standard Oblivion character with purple anime hair plastered on should be a warning, but let's check it out anyway... Why are we discussing Fallout suddenly?
Why are we discussing Fallout suddenly?
This is the skyrim thread? Whaddefuck
It's Elder Scrolls. We all do it.
Not true. The only people I kill are those whom the quest states I have too. Like the Dark Brotherhood questline, not for fun. Well, maybe not in Oblivion/Morrowind, but Daggerfall is a different story... [editline]18th July 2011[/editline]
This is the skyrim thread? Whaddefuck
It's the nexus. Fallout or Elder Scrolls, it's the nexus. The Nexus, the nexus never changes...
I have decided not to mention the Nexus in this post. Wait...
While we're at it why not start talking about fruit salad?
While we're at it why not start talking about fruit salad?
Because in Skyrim, it's too cold for growing fruit. And in Skyrim there are only vikings, not pussies. They eat raw meat, not fruit.
You can make your Morrowind character eat diamonds. 500 diamonds if you cheat.
I would eat 500 watermelons for 500 diamonds. :D
I would eat 500 watermelons for 500 diamonds. :D
And then your stomach would rupture and you'd never see your precious diamonds. Assuming you ate the watermelons in one sitting. Which I mean... If I'm giving you a single diamond, let alone five hundred, just for eating a few watermelons, you damn well better eat 'em all in one sitting.
And then your stomach would rupture.
Naw, I'd eat them on da toilet.
Just spent the best part of a day (I counted 5 hours) modding the hell out of Oblivion, got FCOM working and about a billion texture mods, weather, shader, water overhauls, crazy amounts of weapons/armour (Including the ones in FCOM) and a bunch of other shit, can't believe it all works, god bless BOSS & Wyre bash.
