Part of being Dragonborn means having the ability to become a legitimate heir to the Dragon Throne, I'd be surprised if they [I]don't[/I] give you the option of becoming the new Emperor (maybe using the blood of Alduin to create a new Amulet of Kings, since the last one was created with the blood of Akatosh [sp]who's supposedly Alduin, just in a more pissed off form.[/sp])

I'd rather have another Bloodmoon/Tribunal-esque expansion than another Daedric realm. Shivering Isles was fun but it was just too out there for me to ever want to replay it. Bloodmoon and Tribunal however are two of the best expansions ever made.

Part of begin a dragonborn means having the ability of shouting at dragons.
You don't HAVE to become a dragonborn to become an emporer, it's just that Talos was one, and his his descendants were prolly too, atleast Martin and Uriel VII were.

really, there are no spoilers, its not like we know the entire story of the game.

Yes but the reason the emperors had to be dragonborn was because of the amulet of kings, I wouldn't be surprised if the story of skyrim has nothing to do with you becoming emperor because of that simple fact

Infact, i'd say it'd be pretty stupid for someone to not have been crowned emperor inbetween the events of oblivion and skyrim,instead leaving the political system open ended just because there's no dragonborn until skyrim would be ridiculous from any point of view, especially without the amulet being the limiting factor

With spoilers I don't just mean the story, I'm talking about details I don't want to know before first playing the game.
That long list of perks and etc, for example, I hardly managed not to look at it because I think the experience will be so much more fresh when it's finally released.
Same thing as I don't want to hear about the characters and all. You get the point.

On a more serious note: Why do everyone think that if someone make a sequel to a game and lets the player answer questions about/get save data from the previous game it actually works? I mean, if Skyrim have multiple endings, what should the characters in the next game say about it? Will everyone just forget about it or will it end up one way anyway after all your work of trying to change the fate of the province? Let's stick with the dragons, the everyone will forget about you like the other TES games.

Short said: It is almost impossible to make a sequel to a game with multiple, very different endings.

Fallout (1 and 2), SW:KOTOR and some others did that nicely, with an ending being the canon one, and the other ones being non-canon but still there to play, and have fun with.
