I'll post them once I start playing properly, still installing mods that I've missed and remember like faster arrows and skip tutorial, although already in the cell of the tutorial I'm getting a bit of slowdown which is disappointing, I thought five years later I'd be past this shit but no, my 6870 still lagging a bit inside, I can't imagine what it'll be like outside.
This thread is constant peer pressure for me to reinstall oblivion

Do it man, do it.
You'll just play for a little while, come on bro, all the cool kids are doing it.
Well, Bioshock had something like this.
And its engine isn't top notch really.
Ok, I'm sorry, but you just can't compare the icemelting in Bioshock to this.
I'm not sure, but I think Bioshock used the unreal engine. And the unreal engine isn't really capable of doing it either. The ice-melting in bioshock was simply an entity displacement that dissappeared with a cool animation when fire was applied. It is not comparable to dynamically melting snow that was dynamically placed from the beginning. However, it could be done if the snow was like an additional layer with just added alpha when it wasn't snowing. but then the problem would be that do dynamically melt it(and for it to look good), you'd have to place so many snow entities that the game would cause some major lag when there's snow all over the place.
If there's one thing I've learned from spending a good day modding Oblivion it's that you can never make it not feel like gamebryo.. can't wait for skyrim.
I better be able to see my legs in this game!

It'd be cool to look down and see an outline of your bulge, that realism.

I imagined a scripted scene where you're climbing some ridiculous mountain and a dragon sends a huge avalanche down towards you, you could evade it or deploy some intense fire-wall spell and stand in place while the snow evaporates past you. I'd say this is pretty miniscule in this grand scheme of things... Next issue?

At this point do we really need to post that iconic Trespasser screenshot?... Ah, what the hell, I'll do it anyways...

Trespasser was ahead of its time in so many ways. Imagine playing it with the Novint Falcon, it'd actually work
Fuck my life.
The wait for skyrim is too much, I've played too much Oblivion and Morrowind to not lose interest after 10 minutes. My life is in ruins.

I already posted it a few pages back. Funny that it is posted again for the very same reason.

Cryosleep.
They Will Rise Once Again.
The skies shall a'light, Wings will beat once again.
The Sun shall be shadowed as they rise against men.
They once were defeated, sent back to the dark.
Man's blade had cut deep, crisp steel made its mark.
But now man has forgotten, both hard scale and sharp claw.
The beasts rise again, from legend and lore.
The gates are asunder, their call digs deep.
In darkness they had waited, now across the land they shall sweep.
From slumber they rise, to fly as they once flew.
The Dragons now sing songs of fire which sear what was true.
The people of Skyrim must rise for the quest,
The burden of fate is no easy test.
Darkness has fallen on the land of Skyrim.
We need a hero, we need Dragon Kin.
i like skyrim
I like Nim
I know it's probably late but even if half of what was said in the Meristation artical was a bad translation Skyrim is definitely looking like the greatest thing ever.

I LOVE THE SILT STRIDERS
Sorry to interrupt but guess what I found.

With Oblivion, did anyone else find it impossible to progress through the main story as a stealth/archery character? I found that as soon as I had to go into Oblivion, I got my ass handed to me, and leveling up only scaled the enemies. Did anyone else experience this or was it a glitch or what?
It begins in the air so cold. It gets drawn in deep to the core. Each inch it passes it casts off it's frost and grabs hold of the heat their for the taking. With it's new found warmth, it binds to itself in a constricting pause. A pause that could span ages and last only seconds. In that time* the weight the force the pain and joy and rage and hate and love the blinding emotion cling to the air and in one radiant burst, one resounding roar the world shakes to the tone of one word. SKYRIM!
An amazing comment? On Youtube?! And just today I actually cleaned my house!
World's ending, guys. Pack it up.
is this out yet
