Instead of getting all worked up over something you can't change try ignoring them too, works well for lots of us.
Instead of getting all worked up over something you can't change try ignoring them too, works well for lots of us.
Who ever said I was worked up? I'm just getting a bit tired of going through "Weapons" or "Armor" to be flooded with loads of OP shit and sex mods. It's not like filtering by endorsement or download helps too, because these mods are typically the most popular. We shouldn't HAVE to "ignore" them, they should have their own sections (which I'm not sure if they do). It perplexes me because I don't see these kinds of mods for other games I play/mod. Sure, I see troll mods, but I've yet to see a sex one for Half-Life or Halo or Deus Ex or something. [editline]5th October 2011[/editline]
and deadly reflexes
You're a bit late to the punch, besides wasn't 6.0 buggy and shit? Thats what I heard.
So they should stop supporting the modding community entirely because *gasp* some nerds are fucked up and get off to modelling naked giant breasts on reptile people or some shit? It's annoying, yes, it's disgusting, yes, it makes me lose faith in humanity, yes, but that's a shit reason to completely stop supporting the modding community, especially in a game that will almost need mods at some point for whatever reason for a lot of people. Whether it's community bugfixes, graphical upgrades, combat tweaks, UI tweaks or whatever, so stopping mod support because some nerds are incredibly perverted is stupid.
Its depressing that Bethesda keeps supporting the modding community while all they do is shovel out pedophile and sex mods.
The way you worded this makes it seem like you want Bethesda to cut mod support since all they shovel out are horrible sex mods.

Wow you guys are really defensive and presumptuous. I just find it both noble and sad that a company willingly supports a community they know has a lot of bad apples, because they obviously care. Post explains that, sorry for misunderstanding.

[editline]5th October 2011[/editline] Well I'm sorry but no. My point was that you made yourself sound like you wanted them to stop supporting modding completely, because most good mods need to use the tools that bad, sexual mods need to use as well. As long as there are mod tools for any popular game, there will be disturbing sexual mods, especially one that is this popular with nerds. Bethesda knows this, but they also have outright stated that they know that there's loads of good mods out there, so it balances out.

You guys like to presume alot of shit and like to get really snarky and defensive. Its not my fault this modding community is trashy with lots of sex shoveled in (more than I see with other games). I also have no interest in stopping modding, because I mod games myself, it sounds very counter-productive. Anyway, I'm not going to argue over something so petty, because I got better things to do.
Anyway, I'm not going to argue over something so petty, because I got better things to do.
It always amuses me when someone plays the "holier than thou" card in an argument. :v:
Never played Oblivion...Worth it?
Sure, those mods are great I admit. But then you willingly seem to be ignoring the pages upon pages of sex/troll/cheat/disturbing pedophile mods out there. Even with "ignore adult content" its still pathetic.
Any game with this much potential to be modded so easily will always get shit like that. In-fact any game that can be modded will always have that kind of shit in it one way or another. The same rule applies for good mods.
I didn't see any children. If there were any that I didn't notice then I can only imagine screams as I torched that chicken. After I killed what was in the town (I quickly skimmed the town during the killing. I didn't kill anyone inside as I only had like 7 minutes left out of 15.) I went out and searched. I found a cave and it started some kind of cutscene almost? It showed me walking into the cave and starting up inside via loadscreen. It was weird. Inside the cave was a necromancer and a bunch of skeletons. I then tricked the necromancer to walk backwards and he fell down a pit. I jumped in after him. He healed. I swapped to dual wield sword and axe and kicked his ass right as they said it was time for us to stop the demo. Also I really enjoyed Magic + Weapon combo. When you ran out of stamina you could use your magic so you wouldn't run completely out. I basically alternated between magic and melee and it worked pretty well to kill the town.
What does running out of stamina really do? Is it like Dead island where everything generally takes stamina and you pretty much are a sitting duck if you run out or is it closer to oblivion where stamina doesn't actually affect anything except damage modifiers (aka each hit deals less damage at 0 stamina than at full)? [editline]5th October 2011[/editline]
Never played Oblivion...Worth it?
Might as well just wait for Skyrim seeing as it looks like its pretty much Oblivion but better in every single way

Is it incredibly slow like starting off oblivion, or is an all magic character viable in combat without the use of potions? Wondering in case I don't want to take a bit of an alchemy route. I had a really hard time in oblivion with healing magic, would have to sit on top a rock and wait a while just healing so I wouldn't get murderized by whatever was a foot or so below me, only to get clubbed in the face and do it all over.

[editline]5th October 2011[/editline] Might as well just wait for Skyrim seeing as it looks like its pretty much Oblivion but better in every single way
Just woke up. I'll answer some questions. It's a bit more like Dead Island this time around but you don't feel too much like a sitting duck. Running drains stamina now much like in other games which is kind of annoying but you quickly get used to it. Someone told me if you run out of stamina you get knocked down if you get hit but I never had this happen really. (Light armor and heavy armor do affect your stamina use while running. In heavy armor it's more like a sprint. I think there will probably be ways to increase your stamina) Magic regeneration seemed to be a bit faster or maybe the spell I was using just didn't use that much magic. I used the flame thrower type spell and used it pretty wisely. Maybe because it didn't drain a chunk of mana at once made it feel like mana wasn't gone in 2 seconds.
Half a tenth?
That's what I said. It's half of a tenth. It's very small.
www.skyrimnexus.com IT BEGINS [editline]5th October 2011[/editline] Well, technically IT WILL BEGIN
Nude mods incoming!
I love mods <3 Console gamers will never be able to fly dragons in skyrim.
That's what I said. It's half of a tenth. It's very small.
He was mocking you for your inability to comprehend fractions.
I love mods <3 Console gamers will never be able to fly dragons in skyrim.
Bethesda are looking to get mods on console. One day, if they deem it good enough then there might just be.
I do believe that after all this time, I had yet to post this video here. Well, it's old, but I made it and it's Elder Scrolls related: [editline]5th October 2011[/editline] (Also it's really mediocre I should have mentioned that)
Away from Chest Breast she-its, and pedophile mods. Would any of you happen to know if GameStop will be hosting a midnight party for the release of the game.

So probably not
