You could. Technically if you make it to the Main Menu, you're running the game!
Skyrim, mostly a DirectX 9 game. Will support DirectX 11 but limited
I hope you can turn all of the hud off.
Set that DB Cave as my background. Awwww, yeah. I can't believe I still haven't pre-ordered it. I'm going to have to fix that this weekend.
I swear if the Skyrim port is too crappy to run on my computer I'm going to buy a console JUST to play it.

I'm most likely going to preorder it sometime this coming week as well. Most likely from steam.

The number of mods and user created content make up for the poor performance you'll get. get the PC version anyway. Besides, you really want to buy it again, later, after you upgrade? Psh!
I mean, sure, it's like wading through 400 pages of 1970's Bush Porn to find that one page of a waxed taint, but still, that's 401 more than the Xbox gets
Conjured weapons... HNNNGGG
Can you imagine a full armor set of this if it ends up looking like that? BAMF.
i like wearing see through clothing too

DAT analogy
After seeing those screens, that's it. I need this game now.
Great, I will have to play on the lowest settings I bet. :(

Unless the minimum requirements means that you can play the game on medium settings.

Keep in mind that as screenshots they are designed to look pretty. Oblivion screenshots looked better than the final product too.

I ordered it through a website for cheaper, get installation dvd's, feelies and two novels.

I don't really want the physical copy. I know it's cheaper (from where ever you got it) but I'm also incredibly lazy and don't feel like waiting for shipping or going to the store to pick it up at a midnight release.
I love the convenience of steam but on the other hand I really want that cloth map, I'll probably end up preordering from a store.
I'm happy with my skyrim hat (the one from pax) for now. I don't need a cloth map really. I mean yah it'd be nice to have but I'd probably just put it somewhere after I'm done with it and forget about it.
It's also nice that I won't have to use a week's worth of data to download the game
We'll likely be able to preload.

I tend to put gamemaps on my wall as posters. Geeky as fuck but makes empty walls look nicer.

i found that on my play through of the demo, the fucking spriggan nearby is a dick
Well shit, looks like I REALLY require a hardware upgrade of some sort.
At least RAM and CPU, hoping that my good ol' EN9800GT does not catch on fire.
Hopefully robes don't rob you of enchantment slots again (though I pretty much know they will). That is the main reason why I didn't wear robes on any character in oblivion. You could simply get more bang for your buck with armor pieces.

But your spells are less affective with amour on no matter what your skills are. Besides, you only miss out on one slot if you enchant the wrist irons you get at the very beggining (granted those are the only pair but still...).
