If their parents die, kids just disappears or "escapes". Also, I think it is legal to make statues nude, Valve put dicks on horse statues in CS:S.
I didn't say anything about nudity but The Witcher 2 had a fully nude woman and there was no major issue over it. But the side boob and half butt in mass effect...
I was surprised my feeble laptop could run BF3 (albeit on all lows) today, and the minimum system requirements are higher than my laptop's specs (minimum requirement 2.6ghz, mine 2.2 for example), so i'm hoping my laptop will be able to run Skyrim at least before I get something more powerful at Christmas it doesn't look that visually intensive compared to other modern gen games, I guess it's just the draw distances of the mountains and the increased number of npcs on screen that's worrying to me

Something like the Elder Scrolls will probably be played by 10-12 year olds as well as those who are older. It's a very popular multi-platform game while The Witcher 2 is a PC exclusive game.

I- I just think the fact that TW2 is a PC exclusive might have something to do with it. The Witcher 2 even had sex scenes. Through, Microsoft pays Bethesda so much money that their footage made me question the PC version of not being a shitty port.

Besides, as you can see from Garry nearly being sued recently, it costs A LOT in legal fees even if you win a case against a stupid lawsuit.
It's natural that games will shed their cencorship as the years go on. Films didn't have any nudity until the late 60's/early 70's. Now it's tits bouncing all over the place.

Someone from my class went to this year's Tokyo Game Show for a game design internship. He waited in a line for 3 hours to play Skyrim for 15 minutes there. Needless to say, I was quite envious of him.
I think that more kids have consoles than PCs thus PC games are open to less scrutiny from parents. Or something. I- I just think the fact that TW2 is a PC exclusive might have something to do with it.
Pretty much, plus the demograhic of children was lowered even further considering no child could have played and enjoyed the witcher 1, and The Witcher 2 has a shitload of political dialogue like the first game. That said, you do see a naked lady within about 2 minutes of the game starting. If you like RPGs and have a fairly beefy PC anyone who hasn't played it should check it out, the fact that the devs don't have that weird western prudishness is jut one of the catalogue of awesome things in the game.
Anyways back to the Witcher 2: it's no longer PC exclusive (or won't be soon). Does the 360 version have the sex scenes? But yeah I think we can all safely blame America. Tits in an M rate game I bought for my 10 year old? Not my fault I'm a flawless parent! TV Show has adult scenes and references? Not my fault for letting the brat watch it, it's the show's fault! Time to sue! Just slap the M rating and ignore the soccer moms, fuck
Holy shit it's so damn close, my computer is ready to max this out...I should probably play some Morrowind to get in the mood for Skyrim. Only 34 days 4 hours 47 minutes and 25 seconds left.
Off course, but it's not glitch-free and won't have the same quality, it never will, that's like saying the combat from deadly reflex is as good as the one we saw on those skyrim gameplays so far, being official makes a huge difference.
Not exactly Oblivion/Skyrim related but hey, remember Counter-Strike? or Day of Defeat? or how about Team Fortress? All started as mods and became pay-for games. Just a tip for anyone who may have ordered from GAME.co.uk. Price used to be £35 and has dropped to £29, but the automatic pre-order price updater is fucked over so you may have to contact customer support or just cancel the pre-order and pre-order again. Pre-order.

What is MGXE anyway
This thread seems to be filled with child predators and necrophiles... We're going to need more chairs. /foxnews From a more relaxed standpoint, though, I'd like to offer my opinion on why Bethesda has decided to tone down the "offensive" content. There's a point where a line must be drawn to keep the games industry afloat. For instance, if you allow everyone to be stripped nude upon death, what do you do when a child dies? If you can't kill children, that breaks the immersion. If you can't loot the clothes from children, it breaks the immersion. If you allow people to loot the clothes from children, but leave underclothes... It breaks the immersion. If you can kill and strip a child nude... Bethesda gets shut down for distributing child pornography. I know that's an extreme extrapolation, but it's there to prove a point. The line has to be drawn somewhere, and you might as well draw it where the majority of your demographic will accept it. As the demographic for these types of games has dropped quite a bit (My ultra-religious aunt bought Oblivion for her 12-yo son), the developers will tend to draw the line in more tasteful and age-appropriate areas to maximize profit while minimizing negative press. And yes, rampant necrophilia does generate negative press. Gay marriage, not so much. On the topic of The Witcher... Sweden. That is all. I think that just about covers everything over the past two pages. Am I missing anything?
What is MGXE anyway
Just a different version of MGE (Morrowind Graphic Extender) except it has these amazing looking shadows and dynamic shadows.
Wait a few days and then download the inevitable child killing mod and nude mod. Hey look you got everything you wanted.
Anime porn mods for all!!
You can't just expect the modders to fix every single problem in a game, first because Bethesda is supposed to make the fucking game, second because it won't be good as the official, never. It's that simple. Especially with children, killing them would undoubtedly create a lot of glitches because you're simply not supposed to, shit like that would be really hard for a modder to implement glitch-free.
Get over it? People missed my post.
They can't do that because it'd be banned in alot of countries, they had to rename morphine to Med-X in fallout 3 for christs sake because of banning. Learn to listen, bethesda trusts modders to fix up your sad little fantasies if you really want to see naked bodies after you've chopped their heads off.
Did you miss it that time?
The Witcher 2 even had sex scenes. Through, Microsoft pays Bethesda so much money that their footage made me question the PC version of not being a shitty port.
The Witcher 2 is an extremely mature game that is really designated towards a very restricted audience, by its content and its difficulty. There's nothing comparable to the elder scrolls series. Also even in the sex scenes you still barely see what happens (no dick, no vag, sometimes pubes), though it's very suggestive it stays rather censored. The only game I can think of that featured an explicit flaccid dick was GTA IV the lost and damned. Once again it's not really the goal of TeS to show these kinds of things. In GTA, the dick scene is so easily avoidable that it's obvious, knowing rockstar's reputation, that they only want to piss some people off - if anything they're toying with the anti-video game lobbies out there. In The Witcher 1/2, that's because your character is a mandatory sex beast, it's in his character - you don't choose who you are in the witcher, while in TeS you can, which makes the over-abundance of sex and nudity a bit out of place because it would get thrown in your face ALL THE TIME, should you make a character that doesn't give a shit or another witcher-style sex beast, just by the mere fact stripping a character out of his cloth for loot makes him naked. As for kids, it's just censorship. Even in GTA you can't slaughter kids. It somewhat found its way in old games but I can't recall any recent game that lets you explicitly kill a kid and dismember it (bioshock doesn't count, it's censored). And yeah there's the whole "banned in multiple countries" thing as well. To be honest I'm far from wanting Bethesda dead just because they didn't include a fancy useless feature like sex or killing kids or nipples on a statue.

again i'm pretty sure bethesda themselves just don't want children to get killed

Stop complaining about stuff being scrapped out the game while they weren't in the game in the first place. Argonians and Khajiits don't count for the nudity, they had no sexual assets whatsoever when they were still naked.

On a different note, does anyone else hope there's a Dark Brotherhood quest "10 Little Indians/And Then There Were None" style? Kinda like Whodunit? on a larger, better scale.

[editline]8th October 2011[/editline]
There are dead baby skeletons around The Night Mother's shrine. I thought that was pretty brutal.
Yeah I remember that. There were a lot in fallout 3 as well but there's a difference between skeletons and actual fleshy bodies.
